We are now well into our 2nd decade of visiting what we consider the best Italian fine dining in the Barrie area.While there is an entrance on Dunlop Street just East of the 5 points, we always park in the municipal lot behind & enter through the amazing summer rear patio
Dietary restrictions: Offers gluten free pasta.Parking: Parking lot is free after 5pm weekdays and all day weekends. It's at the "back" of the restaurant.
First time at Il Buco. The food was excellent, I thought I was in Italy it was so authentic. Excellent, polite service without all the theatrics. Looking forward to going back soon.Vegetarian options: The Caprese salad is a great option if you’re a vegetarian.

Il Buco had some great food, but what really nailed this 5 stars (and will make sure we come back) was Jamals 11 out of 10 service. What an amazing person. I wish every future patron can experience the level of service and personalization he brought to the visit.

I didn't take a picture of it but I recommend Enrico’s Famous Garlic appetizer, it was definitely freshly made. I also enjoy the Tomato Goat Cheese salad and the Chicken Marsala. I've been here for my wedding rehearsal dinner, anniversaries and birthdays. Always worth a trip.
First time here BUT WONT BE THE LAST. Everything was great, the drinks, the apps, the meal, the service, the desserts OMG the desserts. Thank you for a wonderful night, I can't wait to come back.

Looked up Italian Restaurants in Barrie. Saw that this restaurant was highly reviewed so took a chance. We were not disappointed. Atmosphere was very Italian and quaint. The service was extremely friendly and recommended a very affordable and delicious bottle of wine. Food was fantastic. We had two of the several specials…veal chop with mushrooms and Spinach stuffed raviolis with mushrooms. The portions were large, perfectly cooked and executed. We were very pleased with the entire experience. We will be back in the future!
