Visited today for an early lunch & was very impressed by the food & our knowledgeable and jolly server. The mushroom and dill soup was delicious. Will visit again when back in this part of the world.

A perfect little oasis in downtown Barrie. The Canadiano coffee had a nice hint of maple and the breakfast sandwich was fresh and delicious.

This restaurant is lovely and located inside a museum in downtown Barrie, near the waterfront. The chicken club was amazing, as well as the soup. The latte was great as well. I want to come back to try the other items on the menu, this place has good vibes only and a beautiful, modern aesthetic.

Amazing gluten free treats and lattes. Only been once but will be going back as the staff were friendly and informative. If you haven’t been you should atleast stop in

BEST lunch date around! We are vegans and it’s so hard to find tasty eats around that aren’t just a beyond burger. it was so nice to be able to have a satisfying, perfectly paired soup and Sandwich to share together for both of us in a peaceful environment. Would also love to mention a huge THANK YOU for seasoning the tofu and giving us such a range of flavours! Lovely service, food and staff! Will 110% be back

Lovely place, very friendly; has a couple sandwiches, coffee, and soup - all made fresh to order, and tasty!

Great lunch spot with plenty of seating options. There were six of us and everyone was really happy with what they ordered. The cinnamon raisin French toast was amazing, and the Mediterranean sandwich was really delicious too. We also had soup, falafel wrap, Buddha bowl and the frittata - all really good.

I absolutely loved the spinach cheddar muffins they sold at their original location on Maple Avenue. I would often pop in and buy several to take home. The last two times I have purchased them at their new location on Mulcaster Street, they have been half the size but are still the same price of $3 each. I recently purchased a half dozen and they were a really weird shape. They were very dry and had next to no cheese in them. I don’t think I’ll be buying them again.

i went twice to this Lazy Tulip and never would return as they put a stick in my carafe and that turned me off completely. I was not impressed with this place at all.

We needed an accessible restaurant with food that can easily be eaten when you can't see (wraps, paninis, etc.) Lazy Tulip was excellent. There is a ramp to the door and parking close by. The food selection was great and the service really good. The wrap and panini were tasty and the salad really fresh and interesting. The prices were good. The only issue was that the hard surfaces in the area make it a little noisy. We will be back for sure.

It was our first time at the Cafe recently and while the menu and atmosphere is not very kid friendly, my kids really enjoyed it!! Delightful. We will return, most definitely.

The food and the customer service are great. I had a great time there with my friends. The servers were very professional and friendly and overall experience was phenomenal. I would recommend anyone to go there.

The McLaren Art Centre is beautiful, great event space. I was at the centre for a market this weekend and wanted to fill up my water bottle but noticed there wasn't any place to do so, no water fountain or station to fill up. So I went to the bathroom, tap was hot water. I decided to ask the front desk, the people working there told me to maybe try the cafe \"the lazy tulip.\" (Which is in the centre ) I have heard such great reviews about this place, the food etc. I ventured over, looked at the food board, thought I might order something to eat later. (While I still wanted to fill up my water bottle), I waited patiently, as it seemed it was busy and everyone was zooming around trying to care for the customers. I ended up leaving after 15 minutes (no one said a word to me, not a hello, or even I'll be with you …etc). I went back after again looking for cold water (again) - finally a women asked me \"can I help you?\" So I proceeded to explain \"I am looking for some cold water\" she looked at me frustrated and advised “I should check the bathroom”... so I politely explain that the water is hot and if they had tap water that was cold, if I could have some.. The women looked at me as if I was such a burden for asking and replied \" ugh yes,\" grabbed my water bottle and put it in the sink, turned the tap on and walked away. I felt so embarrassed even asking for water... I had asked someone who worked there if she was the owner and they replied \"yes.\" I have never been so mistreated at an establishment as I have today. I don't normally write bad reviews and this place seems to have many lovely reviews - working in customer service I would have never thought I'd be treated this way for asking for some \"cold\" water.. especially from the owner.. not impressed **Update - I asked for tap water…..didn’t realize that was such an expense to the owner .. if you are mad about me not making a purchase with the “free” tap water, I probably would have if you didn’t have such an unpleasant attitude. I’ve worked in restaurants / hospitality, you lack a lot of customer service skills if that’s how you act when in high pressure / stressful situations.

Smallest muffin I have ever seen. Coffee was marginal but only have medium roast - in a cafe. Not worth the $8. Make bigger muffins - flour isn’t that expensive. Service could have been better. We all have bad days. Being short w customers isn’t a good idea. If you aren’t in the mood - tap out. The Gallery Shop is lovely as are the staff. Go there and visit the gallery. Bring your own coffee and home baked muffin.
