PREMIERE INVESTIGATIONS

Went for dinner with 3 friends and the service was absolutely terrible. Waiter took our orders, shift changed before the meal was served, no cutlery on the table when the meal arrived. The chicken sandwich was ordered PLAIN, was brought to the table with sauce and tons of pickles. New waitress was no where to be found as we needed drink refills, asked for sour cream when she finally showed up to our table, she came back with drinks no sour cream, flagged her down and asked 2 more times for additional sour cream and never got it. Son complained about his sandwich and she had it remade however, everyone else at the table was done eating we had to wait an additional 40 minutes for his order come to the table and for him to eat it. Would Rather drive to Toronto and eat at another location. Won't be going back to the Park Place Restaurant.

I have never been to this location before but I went to pick up food for a family member and I was not at all impressed with the food quality. The burger had barbecue sauce (which was not on described on the menu) and I received a handful of fries on the side. The tacos were soggy with dry chicken and bacon (most likely had been sitting for a while) and they forgot the side completely. The restaurant was packed so I'm guessing the kitchen was overwhelmed, however, for the price of food (at least $20 an entree) I'd expect better from a popular chain restaurant. I gave 2-stars due to the polite hostess who served me - she was pleasant and professional. Otherwise the food I would rate at 1 star at most. I filed a complaint via email and was offered an appetizer/dessert which I have no inclination to redeem as I would not dine there nor pickup food again (they addressed the issue but not satisfactorily). It is my opinion that they do quality control of the food coming out of the kitchen if they don't already do so.

It's been a while since we visited and I have to edit my review....Sadly, Lonestar isn't what I remembered. Our first two appetizers were unavailable, service was quite slow, and we couldn't order a meal without jalapeños because "everything is pre-made".It was still good, but a $260 bill for five people didn't justify the food and service we experienced.Maybe it was an off-night for them, but I'm not spending that kind of money to find out.

My wife and I were very disappointed with everything! Food was not good, service was really below expected. The server didn't bring cutlery out until after she served us our steaks. Restaurant ran out of striploins so we had to get a larger cut and more money and the steak was tough and full of cinue. The server seemed to be always in a rush and tried to place a beer on the table quickly and spilt beer on my phone and all over our salsa and tortilla chips, which stayed on the table soaked in beer for the whole night. I still tipped her 10%. This cost me $148.00, with the tip. We won't be going back, guaranteed.

Called on Monday for a reservation on Saturday. Started off had to call back as there system was down. Called back half hour later and booked in for a 4:45 reservation for a table of 15. Gave all my info and the fact that it was my husband's birthday. Showed up at 4:40 on saturday and they could not find my reservation. I had 10 people and a child with me. They apologized blaming there system. Then shifted it to blame me as I did not know I was supposed to recieve a text confirmation. I was told on phone I was good. So I thought I was good. They started off saying they would speak to the manager. Whom I never seen. Then they did "accomodate" us. Squeezing us in to an 8 person table with a high chair. When I asked for 2 more chairs I became an inconvenience. I was told they had nothing for me. Took almost 30 mins to even see a server to get our drink order in. Then they came and ordered our food. We didn't get our drinks for another 30 mins and our food came right after. Food was tasty but very cold and some over cooked. Server was wonderful when she did join us. She tried to get us another table but was promptly shut down by the host stating they had nothing more for us. " they were booked up" meanwhile there was an 18 person table sitting empty for over an hour that they ended up dismantling for walk ins. When I had booked originally I had stated it was for my husband's birthday. There was no acknowledgment of it what so ever. And at the end we were literally pushed out. My husband's friend had ordered shots and instead we were handed a bill and the debit machine was shoved in our faces. I had people from out of town there whom we wanted to see for longer instead we had to stand in the parking lot freezing and say our good byes very early. I felt very embarrassed over all of this. Not once did the manager ever come out and appologize for any of it. Thankfully my group was very polite and understanding. However I felt very disgusted by the whole thing. First time ever here and will definitly NOT be coming back.

Way too loud. Can't hear your own table talking. We reserved a table, then when we arrived they told us we didn't have a table. Proceeded to sit 10 people plus a child at a 8 person table. And claim that was the best the could do.30 mins into being seated, we saw that the table we did reserve was dismantled into 2 separate ones for walk-ins of over crowded tables aswell. So it wasn't just us they were doing this to.When asked if we could get an extra table from the many empty ones, we were told they were all reserved. Either they weren't, or the reserved party didn't show so they gave it to walk ins.The food was okay. Definitely over priced for proportions. The chicken fingers for the kids are so over cooked, that they can't even bit/chew them. Was not offered any sort of break on our bills for the inconvenience for jamming us in like sardines.Definitely do not recommend. On the plus side, I guess the drinks are good ! ?

Lets start.I am sitting at Texas lone star. Was served by one lady who took my order. A second lady came and dropped off my order without any cutlery. I called for a waitress three times and I was constantly ignored.

I’ve only been to Lone Star once, had a terrible experience so haven’t been back.Tonight we tried again and had another terrible experience. I have zero desire to ever go back again. The hosts were very unprofessional, our server acted like she hated her life/job. We ordered Caesars and beer for the hockey game and they were absolutely terrible. Beer was full of foam , dripping down the glass, Caesars had no rim or any toppings.Food came out cold.We did go around 7:00PM so it was busy, but all staff did not seem happy. There was so much garbage all over the restaurant. The bathroom was so nasty! So many people complained to staff that we saw.Terrible experience!

We had burgers with the house salad and fries. This was one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant like this one. The Margareta was hugh and tastyLove the complimentary sombero, and the chips and salsa were a nice touch.Tyler was helpful and attentive. The price was reasonable for the good food. The atmosphere was good as well. Allowed for intimate conversation without feeling isolated.

Love love this lone star location, directly center in the new park place plaza. The fajitas were sizzling hot, which is a bonus as some other locations I've been to come out luke warm. I think the sizzle is what makes it.We visited a couple of weeks back with my cousin who's visiting and is vegan. He loved the taco bowl - minus ground beef.Oh, and everything is homemade, which is why I love this place in addition to their wood fire fajita - a nice smoky flavor.

My husband and I came here last night for a dinner out. I ordered the chicken Chimichanga with beans and rice . The rice was terribly dry and was not fresh, there were grains that were clearly so dried out they were hard and crunchy. The chicken in the Chimichanga was cut into little tiny chunks and it wasn’t hot enough, as my meal became cool before I was half done. Overall very disappointed by this experience, as we were looking forward to a meal out. The only good thing about our experience was the tortilla chips and salsa.
