I've been trying out different Breakfast/Lunch restaurants in the Barrie area, and so far I've been coming back more often to this location. The food is great but sometimes ok depending on the cooks that I see but the service is amazing. Katherine who has been my server for here the majority of the time is one really hard worker I've been in the restaurant industry for 25 years and I can tell she is one of the best people ever. She always has a smile and a friendly personality and can almost tell if I need some water or juice before the glass is even empty.

Had breakfast here the other day. My server Katherine was very polite and professional. The food was terrific, and it was very quick. I will dine here again.

Went into this Location for the first time today, and this was my experience: we ordered 2 wraps, and they both came out incredibly greasy. I’m not one to complain, and I was planning on mentioning it to our server.. but once the food was dropped off, we didn’t see her again. I can understand if they were busy, However the restaurant was completely dead. Also, I had asked our server once the food was dropped off for a type of vinegar that they didn’t have, and rather than offering a DIFFERENT type of vinegar that they DO have, she brought over Worcestershire sauce. Our plates weren’t cleared either. Our server was incredibly friendly, and overall the atmosphere is what you would expect from a Sunset Grill, however I think more training is needed to make the experience more enjoyable.

Do not recommend this specific one if you have any allergies or if you expect your vegan food to be vegan. Went to this location once with someone who has an egg allergy. Informed staff who said they are unable to ensure no cross contamination. We asked about the vegan options being safe and they again pressed they can not guarantee no cross contact between their egg products and their vegan. I reminded them that vegan options should have absolutely no contact with Any meat or egg otherwise it’s not vegan. The waitress just sort of stared blankly and repeated in a tone that was “we don’t want to deal with this”. I again reminded her that if your kitchen has taken any safe food handling courses that they should know how to not cross contaminate and she shrugged. The lack of respect and the clear disregard for their vegan patrons made us decide to walk out as they made it quite clear that health and safety was not on the menu. Only sunset grill I came across that ignorant. Any other had zero issue keeping things clean as our friend never once had a reaction at any other location. So if you have allergies or are vegan, they do not care about you here.

The lady cook in the back who made my toast this morning gave me the 2 smallest butt end pieces of the loaf I was not amused at all.

Food was good, server was nice, but way to busy, she was trying to fix the debit machine. Restaurant was full, we watched my toast sit under the heat lamp for the entire duration of our stay, we reminded her to throw it out as we payed.Parking: Very few parking spots in front of store, but lots of parking in the lots at end of the building

Not sure if Yelp not used much in this area but this place deserves a much better rating! Food was good with large portions and the service was great. It's like an upscale Canadian version of the Waffle House in the USA only better!

Excellent breakie, crisp hash browned taters, cooked sausages. Will go again.

The waitress who was serving us at Sunset Grill left a negative impression. Katrina was clearly intoxicated, morning on Sunday and the smell of alcohol from her was awful. It gave the feeling of disrespect and a lack of care for her job. The service was subpar, and we were disappointed by this experience. I am giving 2 stars just for a good food there. Me and my friends will never come back. ?‍♀️

I'm not sure how to start this review tbh. I ordered avocado toast, and it was disappointing in every aspect. The avo spread was old AF, and it wasn't even fresh made guac, It's the fake one full of preservatives. Now let's talk about the size. Yup, a Splenda baggie was HALF of my freaking toast. I paid 10$ for this. SHRINK-FLATION really said double whammy to me today. As a company, you have to have some standards, please. This is beyond disappointing. You are not a downtown Toronto hipster coffee shop to be charging these prices for a SLICE of below average "avo".Never coming back. EVER.
