Our go to place for soup and sandwiches was closed today. I did a quick Google maps search and found this gem. I am sure glad we did. The shop has an inviting and cozy atmosphere. Great place to enjoy a meal or coffee with a book or friends. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Greeted with a smile and a hi as soon we walked in very refreshing. Great spot downtown Belleville. They seemed to have short order capabilities which is nice for something other than just baked goods. My friend and I had breakfast sandwiches and they were very good. I'd say, a step up from a fast food place. The coffee was good. The service was good. The only 'fly in the ointment' were the flies...why were there so many small, annoying flies that we had to swat away? Super annoying! This is my go to place to meet up with friends for coffee. Great lattes, freshly made food, home made soups, salads and sandwiches, bakery fresh scones and buttertarts. Interesting assortment of coffees, lattes etc and teas. Gluten free, and lactose free and vegetarian options in all their offerings. Friendly staff who remember your order if you are a regular. What's not to love?
