Extremely unreliable. Previous experiences have been good but was shocked to find the place closed after driving more than an hour to get there (Haliburton). Apparently they close for an extended period but don't bother to update their Google listing (this is a simple task that would have taken a minute to do). Suggest you call ahead vs. trusting their online hours. As it was, we carried on 30 mins further to a place in Lindsay that was fantastic.

If you have been to the Bancroft sister location, you will find similar quality.Popular place with plenty of locals around. Seems like the staff recognize return customers, and there were many.The fish and chips were both perfectly cooked. It's hard to find Halibut, and they know what they're doing.Definitely recommend, the service, food and prices are great and worth the visit.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp into the front of house. Steps inside but main level is ramp accessible.

We got takeout. Ordered a small Greek salad, a bowl of fish chowder, the chicken Alfredo medley and the seafood Alfredo medley. Salad did not have any dressing on it or anywhere in the bag. The bowl of chowder was actually a cup (although charged for a bowl) both pastas were literally noodles and sauce with about 6 bites of chicken in one and maybe 4 shrimp and 3 tiny scallops. Definitely not worth over $90. Very disappointing.
We travel up from Florida every year to visit relatives in Bobcaygeon. Just for the Halibut is a must stop for us and the relatives. Usually a table of 10 to 16. Service is always great along with the food. Love this place!Parking: Behind restaurant and on street. All free.

Inconsistent tartar sauce. The garlic aioli was basically mayo with garlic powder. Low end Cuisine for the high price tag. $150 for 2 fish n chip dinners and 2 beers plus tip...Never again! Do yourself a favour and dine elsewhere.

A group of 28 friends came for dinner this past week. We realize how difficult it is to serve such a large group. Our server, Sara, was amazing. She didn’t need to take notes but got all our orders right and we all received our food at the same time. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Sara kept us entertained and even figured out our 14 individual cheques correctly.Thank you to Sara and all the team there. Great job!
