I am in love with the J*** Chicken . The lunch express plate is my go to each and every time, now. The J*** Pork is my wife's fave. They have a wonderful menu, great selections. The deserts are amazing.We had them cater our Christmas Party and the food was right on point. Everyone enjoyed.

Of all the restaurants in Brunswick, Island J*** has a very adventurous menu. We loved the J*** Chicken and sides for lunch one afternoon.

Next to major transit station & GO train / plenty parking in the back. First thing I noticed was how clean it was... floors, sneeze windows, everything is super clean. Staff (owner?) was very friendly, welcomed me with a big smile. Food on display looks delicious; the green veggies are brightly coloured & the shrimp was a decent size. I couldn't decide between j*** or curried chicken, so I got both. The food was delicious! Lots of flavour & u can really taste the love that went into it. There are a few tables in the restaurant, but the weather was nice, so I took my food out & ate at the park, just a block or 2 away. I will definately return to the Spicy Island J*** the next time that I'm in the downtown Brampton area.

One of the only West Indian spots I go to that always has everything on the menu ready to go. Breakfast specials and lunch specials. I stop here every time I need to take the Go Train to Toronto.

The one star goes towards the service because the lady working here was very nice and friendly. However the food is what we go to restaurants for and good service is just the icing on top. I had a j*** chicken with rice and peas / coleslaw. The coleslaw was starting to get old. It was sort of sour and not creamy... the cabbage was also turning brown. The j*** chicken was also very very bland. There was no flavor whatsoever. The only thing that was ok would be the rice... Overall, I would think twice about returning or even recommending this place to anyone.

As soon as i walked in I noticed how clean it was but also quite dead. The decorations were quite nice and customer service was good as well. Nothing to write home but the service is there. I ordered the lunch special which is 7.90, which is quite pricey for a lunch special. Im used to paying around 5/6 bucks for lunch specials or meals that size. It came in one of those small square containers w a leg and really small thigh. It also comes w macaroni salad i believe which i passed on. There are a few options for the lunch special i chose the fried chicken. The fried chicken wasnt bad at all but could def be seasoned a bit better. The rice and peas was pretty generic but i also got oxtail gravy on top..i love lots of oxtail gravy(well usually). There was even a few pieces of oxtail meat and a big piece on top. So i was able to sample that as well. It was not good at all. The gravy was quite watery and the colour of ketchup , which im sure they put aloy of in the oxtail (gross). It did not taste like oxtail at all and the meat was undercooked and super fatty. I definitely will not be back here again.
