Great service and great food. Mainly go there for the fried seafood options. Place surprisingly feels fresh and clean for a restaurant that serves fried fish and chips along with other options that are also fried. Food is not greasy and always fried to perfection. I also tried their hamburgers, and I wasn't disappointed.

Over 70$ for 3 fish and chips they wouldn’t let me order a kids fish and chips on Friday probably because they wanted up sell me which I thought was ridiculous the fish was almost rubbery and the fry’s I know we’re not fresh and frozen I felt scammed never going back here

I usually don't eat fish n chips.....I find them too greasy and they sit in my stomach for hours.....I order my fish easy on the batter and the chips are nothing short of fantastic.....if you think it's expensive, that's what good food costs.........been there about 4-5 times in the last year....before going here it's been about 5 yrs since I had fish n chips.

Fast and very polite service. Fish and chips are excellent. Not the thick bready coating like other restaurants. Great value for money especially if you order take out as you get lots of chips with your fish. Highly recommended!!

First time visiting. Ordered takeout at the restaurant. We then sat in the dining room while we were waiting. The decor is fantastic. I think the "wave" lighting is very clever. We only waited 10 mins from the time we paid to the time it was ready. Everything was hot and so yummy.
Pleasantly surprised! Hidden gem in the strip mall overshadowed by big box stores but when you enter the establishment you’re in a relaxing atmosphere with detailed attention to the decor of the establishment. Good choices with variety on the menu and reasonably priced. Food tasted great! Server was friendly, attentive, patient and very accommodating. Will definitely return!

I don't have enough good things to say about Halibut 'N' Malt! My family and I dined here this past Sunday to celebrate my dad and aunts birthdays. We had Keith as our server and he was so pleasant and helpful! We were so impressed with the service, food and atmosphere! We are very much looking forward to future visits! What a wonderful experience. Warm, gentle lighting, soft music so you can have conversations, delicious fish and chips, and reasonable prices. Our server, Kiets, was magnificent, thoughtful, helpful and gracious. His superb service was equalled by a lovely server who was particularly attentive to those with mobility issues. They both are welcoming and the chief reasons that I will return again and again. Well done, Halibut and Malt and thank you very much.

Great Fish and Chips, we order from there at least three times a month, halibut and chips, always consistent quality and quantity, I order over the phone for pickup from about five minutes away, always fresh. Family owned , with a couple of waitresses, something that always grabs my attention is, no matter who takes my take out order, I am never prompted to tip. Very unusual this day and age. If the waitress hands my take out, I’ll tip her cash, and the always put it in the Team jar. Anyway this is a great place. If seniors are there, generally it means that value and quality exist at a restaurant.
