Thought we’d give Jt a try. Sadly we were highly disappointed. The dinner for 4 had chicken fried rice, shrimp, egg rolls, chicken balls , chicken chow mein and general Tao chicken. We picked up the food on time. Drove down the road and the food was ice cold when we got home. Not only was the food cold but you could tell it was pre cooked hours ago and not made to order. This was a regular week night. The shrimp and the spring rolls looked like they were from a box from the grocery store. The other food was all Sauggy and the chicken didn’t taste fresh. Portions were very small for what we paid as well. Not something I’d recommend.

Save your money and most likely your health! Order from somewhere else! Terrible! To begin they gave me my order and when I opened it when I got home, I realized they had given me the wrong dish in my order. I was willing to let that pass but the food was disgusting that is the only way to describe it, the chicken balls were soft, greasy and soo small the smallest I’ve ever seen. It seemed as if it was reheated in the microwave, chicken inside was not cooked through, then the rice was cold at the bottom as if it too had been in the fridge and reheated. Definitely not fresh, chicken was undercooked and all dishes were flavourless. Shame on them for serving this to their patrons. I well NEVER order again.

Really gross . Food was cold. It tasted like days old lefts overs microwaved. Didn’t taste fresh at all. Weird discolouration. Not good at all.

The new food is better than the old Jia xing. Was missing my chicken balls. They fixed it and added crab wonton and spring rolls.

Sorry to say but the food was old and dried out. Won’t be back sorry the old owner are no longer there.

I have been a loyal customer of Jia Xing over the years. The quality of their Chinese food was always great at very reasonable prices. Even after the new ownership, the quality of didn’t seem to change as much but the wait times were longer. However, my most recent takeout order will unfortunately be my last. The low mein noodles which was always one of my daughters’ favourite dishes barely had any noodles in it. Half of it was filler with cabbage and bean sprouts. The sauce was also very runny spilling out of the container leaving a soggy mess at the bottom of the paper bag causing the bottom to rip. The breaded shrimp that used to have a tender but crispy batter was rock hard with a weird aftertaste and the smallest piece of shrimp hidden in the middle. The chicken fried rice had little flavour and you guessed it, little to no chicken or chopped vegetables. The egg roll was flat and floppy and the inside of it looked brown and a week old (took one bite and didn’t finish). It’s very disappointing that our “go to” spot for Chinese food has fallen this far from what it used to be. I’m not a picky eater and don’t like giving one star reviews but felt like this one was needed. Hopefully, ownership can right the ship and bring the quality of their Chinese food back to what it once was.

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch and each ordered a combination plate- chow main & sweet and sour pork, chow main and sweet and sour chicken balls. We were handed a bag with our food and when we got home we opened it…. No chow main, a container of sweet and sour chicken and one container of rice plus a couple of flat, limp egg rolls. We are from Jarvis so I don’t have time to go back. We will never go back

Ok first time ordering since new owners took over, unfortunately I will not be ordering from there again. All our food was a yellowish orange colour, anything breaded had a very weird taste and left like a film in your mouth. It all had an off sour taste to it. I will make the drive to Hagersville next time I want Chinese

The top choice for Chinese food in Caledonia, this small family-run restaurant has maintained its reputation. Despite rising prices, the generous portions make it worthwhile. Recently, pickup delays have been noticeable, possibly due to the establishment coping with the demands of a growing town. Despite this inconvenience, the delicious food and ample leftovers for a family of two still make it a recommended choice for Chinese takeout.
