Cambridge Restaurant is a classic diner that serves delicious comfort food.Their breakfast was no frills and hit the spot with a decent portion size.Service was very friendly and had a personal touch. Everything came out quickly and to order. Looking forward to trying some of their other options.

Best breakfast in town!

Well, I don’t often take the time to write reviews, but, this visit was just horrendous. My son and I had spent the day on the road so when we got back into town we decided to stop in. Breakfast has always been good so we assumed dinner would be too. Not the case. I ordered a basic burger with fries. My son ordered the Cambridge Big Mac. When we received both burgers, the buns were already starting to get soggy and the fries were luke warm. The weird thing was, the middle bun of the Big Mac was half of an English muffin. I thought that it was a cheap way to have middle bun and it’s a completely different taste and texture. Considering the price, I asked the waiter why they’d use an English muffin and apparently this is normal. My son opted to pull it out. I’m no food critic but it doesn’t work. I could only eat half my burger because it got too slimy to finish and we both ate half of the fries because by that time they were stone cold. Now normally I would brush it off because I’m known to have terrible luck with food. I rarely ever say anything. I seem to be the guy that gets the hair etc… In this case, the price is that of a high end burger joint. My burger, just the burger $13 + $5 fries + $4 coke for a total of $22. My son’s burger was $2 more but every thing else was the same for a grand total of $48 + tax came to $52 before tip. We would have rather gone to McDonald’s or Burger King which is still better quality than what we got for half the price. I knew how expensive it was when we were ordering so we expected it to be an amazing meal. Considering that the waiter was made aware, I thought there would be some sort of discount offered but there wasn’t. I also never ask for discounts and more times than not, restaurants will offer. I also boost the tip to 25-30% when it happens to put a little more into the servers pocket. They aren’t to blame for the food. Anyway, rant over, may go back for breakfast at some point but never again for dinner.

My recent visit to The Cambridge Restaurant with three friends was an experience we'd all rather forget. What was supposed to be a delightful meal that quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal. The service, or lack thereof, was the main culprit behind our dissatisfaction. It felt as though we were invisible, with minimal attention from the staff throughout our stay. From the moment we placed our orders, things went downhill. Not only were some of our dishes incorrect, but others were missing items, a mistake we were prepared to overlook due to the excruciating wait times we endured. By the time our food arrived, our hunger had magnified to such an extent that we accepted the wrong orders without complaint, primarily because we were on a tight schedule.Adding insult to injury, not once were we checked on by the waitstaff. There was no inquiry into our satisfaction with the meal or if we required anything else, basics of hospitality that were sorely missed. This neglect left us feeling undervalued and overlooked, a sentiment no customer should have to endure, especially in a small business setting where you anticipate a more personal touch. The notion that small establishments tend to offer a warmer, more attentive experience was challenged on this occasion. It's a pity that The Cambridge Restaurant fell short of this expectation, making it unlikely for us to return or recommend it to others. It's a reminder that good service is the backbone of the dining experience, and without it, even the most promising meals can leave a bitter taste.

This place has been around at least since 1991 when for a brief few months i lived in Cambridge, so its gotta be good. And it is.I got my usual pub fare meal of a clubhouse sandwich, it was delicious. All because of this family homemade garlic mayo. That made an ordinary club to extraordinary.I would really like the recipe, but no one would share it lol.My kids got food too and said it was great. I cant wait to go back and try the chefs specials.

Was an enjoyable experience, food was good and served hot.Service staff was friendly. Lots of free parking behind. Atmosphere was old school, loved it.I don't want to ruin my review with a negative, perhaps more of an observation: side of gravy (a ladles worth in a tiny dish was $2.85), same price on your fries (if you have a burger), slice of pie $8.00.Other than these small things, we will return, but will be more aware.
