I bring my family Dairy Queen often, for dinners or ice cream. Every single time we visit Carleton place Dairy Queen they mess up the orders and the staff doesn’t care about their jobs. The last time my family went, the ice machine was empty, so my husband let them know. The guy put the ice tray on top of the machine before loading it in the machine and the ice fell all over my son and husband. I was pretty upset that they didn’t even ask if they were okay. When they get in the car (after 35 minutes) I checked the order and nothing about our order was right. I had called Dairy Queen and asked to speak to the manager where I was then told the manager would call me back later that evening. I gave my phone number and name I said it was urgent. Did I receive a phone call back? Nope!I do not recommend this ‘restaurant’ to anyone, you’re better off getting your ice cream at the other local creameries.Extremely disappointed with their lack of care for customers, safety, time management, and food quality.

Bought 3 blizzards tonight and non were mixed. Had topping on the top and that was it. The rest was just ice cream. Paid for a blizzard and received 3 cups of ice cream.Maybe spend a bit more time mixing the blizzards would help.

New owners as of 2024. They do not honor Dairy Queen gift cards. Go to any other location. Owner basically told my son to eff off trying to use a $5 DQ gift card. A good owner would've said, hey kid here's you ice cream. Was told to go elsewhere. Good luck as a new owner. Absolutely do not support the Carleton Place location.

Ordered 4 blizzards….one was a mint brownie. It had no mint in it. They dumped neon green syrup over the top and didn’t bother to mix it. Another blizzard was the peanut butter pie - it tasted like vanilla ice cream. The staff rush you, rush the order and don’t make anything properly. The Dairy Queen in Arnprior is much much better. Never coming to this location again.

I waited in line for 25 minutes on a Sunday at lunch time and I ended up walking out of the restaurant, the only employee for the store front was stationed in the kitchen until the food finished cooking for an in store order for a family of 4 and then drive through orders, and ignored 7 people still waiting in line. 25 minutes!!! No urgency or ability to multitask. Adding a designated cashier or a designated cook for a lunch rush makes the most sense to me, this location has no sense. I ended up going to Wendy’s for a frosty to fulfill my promise of ice cream to my kid. Thanks but no thanks, I’ll find another Dairy Queen in Ottawa before I waste my time at this location again

Horrible service. Long wait. Had to ask for my change (paid cash). Also had to ask for half of my order. Last few times i’ve been, over several months, i’ve had poor experiences. I have now given up on this location.

Got two blizzards and both were only half mixed. So you pay for ice cream with toppings mixed in and end up eating half a blizzard of just plain vanilla ice cream. Save yourself the money and just buy a tub at the grocery store. They were not remotely busy when I went, so that's not the reason.. tried to contact customer service but there seems to be no way on corporate dq since it says contact the store. But the store info doesn't have management contact..Update to response: I'm not calling the store to ask for manager. Enter 2024 and offer email/online complaints for your company

Apparently this location does not accept gift cards anymore. If the store is privately owned and operated from an established franchise you should not be able to just do whatever you want, it’s a good way to lose your franchise. Why would they not accept gift cards but have no problem selling them? It’s money the company has already made, a pre-sale. Makes no sense, sounds like something that should be escalated higher up. Next this store will say they don’t accept mailed coupons. Do your customers a favour and stop being so sketchy and maybe put a sign up to start with in drive-through saying you do not accept gift cards, at least that way you will lose business and people will go to other locations to spend their money. The entire situation is ridiculous.

I have given my ratings based on what you are asked to rate ( the chicken strips are great). However what happened yesterday has prompted my review. Grandkids wanted to go to DQ so we took them. My wife has the App on her phone and we were hoping to take advantage of the offers to reduce our cost. The App offers need to be scanned OR the offer code inputted to the order. This DQ does not have a scanner (didn’t have one a year ago either) and they could not input the offer code. Very disappointing. Management did not offer to “make things right” and that is basically the basis for review. This DQ needs to update their software and get the scanner OR tell you upfront that deals on the DQ app are not available at this store. Service staff and the food we had deserves 4 stars. Management, not so much.

This is honestly the best most clean DQ I have ever been too. The service was spot on. Food was so so good. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. I highly recommend this DQ.
