Change the wicker chairs along the wall. They are uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is my favorite type of coffee shop, and this definitely is. Oh! Music is great, just a bit loud, which will deter conversations.

Great atmosphere, service and coffee. A true treasure in Carleton Place.
Besides being a great local coffee shop, The Foundry Coffee Bar is such a uniquely lovely place! I love to just go it to get as a take out an order for me and an employee including an Americano and a Vanilla Latte with a cookie. It is a great place to just sit down with someone else and chat. The staff always nails the order, and they even have high quality brand merchandise for sale (beanies and t-shirts currently).

Met a girlfriend up for coffee with my little guy on a beautiful Wednesday morning. It was such a comfy atmosphere, we joined the large table and met some lovely people. The staff are amazing, kind, and efficient.If you like Chai Lattes this place has a spectacular Chai, spiced and sweet, my son couldn't get enough of their herb and cheese scone and date squareKid-friendliness: They had a high chair available (I couldn't find the tray but at my son's age, he throws everything on the floor anyways).

My family and I really enjoy coming here for lunch and a coffee after hiking. We were very excited to do this again today but was pretty disappointed by the amount of students taking up all the seating with their laptops. There was four of us adults and a baby. I ? get the joy of going to a cafe to work on your laptop but maybe not during rush hour times and to take up four tables! A lot of cafes will say no laptops between 11am-2 pm. We spent $120…. Were the students taking up 4 tables all had one drink. There was a group of four girls that were all clearly together but two were taking the entire couch area and two were sitting at a table for four people. Another girl was alone on her laptop at a table of two and a third at the bar. We were so hungry and really wanted the food that we all tried to sit at the bar with my baby under the counter top… honestly it made me kind of angry that no one offered to move together and make room. Because of this I probably will not dine in again even though we do enjoy coming here most times. This was a Sunday at 1:00 pm.

We got take-out. The pecan bar was delicious!... Gooey caramel and nuts on top with a shortbread base. Peanut butter cookies were also very peanut-y. Coffees were also good! Comfortable, airy vibe. Will definitely be returning.
