We chose from a menu that offered a WIDE choice. Lemongrass coconut chicken soup for me - absolutely delicious! - and 3 eggs with bacon, fries and toast - a hubby pleaser! - made us agree that our first visit to the Claremont Country Restaurant would definitely not be our last ! Owner Bala Nedumaran brought our lunch out and served it with a side order of the most genial conversation you could wish for! If you're out Claremont way, you owe it to yourself to stop by here!

Whether it's the hot wings, poutine, pad thai, pizza, samosas, spring rolls or pretty much anything we order from here, it's always top notch. I especially enjoy the hot wings and have yet to find anywhere that makes them better. The owner Bala is exceptional with customer service and this is what we appreciate most. Hidden jem, owner is absolutely hilarious. He should have his own tv show. For was great we had the ultimate burger combo ($17), and butter chicken poutine ($16) and a order of 4 samosa for only $4.Burger was giant and the butter chicken was absolutely Amazing. We traveled from Bowmanville on a recommendation, and we will return

Don't be fooled by the modest look of this restaurant - it was super sweet! This small restaurant team had really tasty Thai food available as well as a cross section of different North American meals (which we did not try, but which seemed frequently selected by many of the other customers). We shared 4 Thai dishes and all of them were great (the green curry chicken and eggplant dish in particular). The service was super friendly and the meal came quickly. They let us enjoy our time there at our own pace. Leftovers came home without a pause of course. Because it also acts as a partial convenience store for this small community we also purchased a tub of Kawartha ice cream! Would definitely come back again! (I'm placing 3 stars for Atmosphere because it was clean, and quite average. That does not impact my overall rating of our lovely lunch out!)They even know the names of many who came in - giving it a very "Cheers" vibe - very fun! We will certainly come back and support this tiny local town establishment that serves its community well.

Convenient little one stop shop with great food and an extremely friendly owner. We dined in and had veggie samosas, wings, steak dinner and butter chicken and enjoyed everything. Also took home 2 chicken souvlaki dinners for my parents and they both enjoyed as well. Prices are reasonable.Would recommend, a must try and worth the drive if you live nearby, only 15 min from Stouffville!Thanks so much Bala, we will be back.

The gentleman I spoke with today was a really great guy. I got great service and he recommended a few dishes, so I decided to go with the butter chicken. For the portion i received the price was more than fair. The food was super delicious and will definitely be returning.
