Just placed an order at bistro238 of my favourites from this past Saturday brunch! This place truly is a hidden gem in Courtice! It was our first time for brunch and everything was delicious! Their quiche, their scones, their croissants, and this olive lemon cake - you know there’s a true pastry chef in the building when! The atmosphere is so cozy and they are beyond welcoming and nice. Chef Simon made the table since we were a walk in. He looks exactly like his picture btw. Highly recommend a reservation on weekends they get very busy. Everything was fresh tasting. Simple ingredients and the best quality. I can’t wait to try their dinner menu! I’m a foodie and so happy that my trips to Toronto for a good quiche and croissant fix are over. I have my spot in my hood now!

Was thoroughly disappointed as a singlePerson I do not deserve to be treated so disrespectfully as soon as I said I was alone I was told sit by the door 2 inches from the door or take a stool …excuse me ? I wasn’t even asked if I would like to wait for a table which I would have gladly done ! Also when I said no I’ll get take out instead I had to wait for ten minutes before anyone served me busy or not smarten up!

Fantastic hidden gem of a restaurant in Courtice. Food was amazing...please try the Scotch Eggs!!! Service great and atmosphere in the restaurant was just right. Will definitely go again and recommend anyone to check it out.

Recently added the opportunity to visit bistro 238. I had ordered the lamb shank, and it was absolutely delicious. Almost wanted to lick the plate when I was done. For dessert I had the bread pudding, which was equally delicious. A great place to go for a great meal.
Delicious food and a charming atmosphere at this great spot! Very accommodating for allergies and adjustments per preference. Would absolutely come back!
