The food here was great, the prices on the other hand left a little to be desired. We ordered 2 chicken pasta dishes and a stuffed garlic bread and it came to almost $90 for takeout.

the behavior of the staff was rude and unprofessional. specially as dismissive attitudes. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable in any establishment.I would not recommend dining at fate and olives due to both the poor quality of the food and the unacceptable behavior of the staff.

Definitely a hidden gem. Stopped here mid roadtrip for a lunch bite as the reviews looked A+. Turned out the food was delicious, the decor was cool, and the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Open kitchen concept was pretty neat as well. Would recommend!

I know "heart and soul" when I taste it. And this is where I finally found it!This place has such integrity that it puts so many other restaurants to shame. It shows (literally) in the freshness and quality of their authentic ingredients. Virtually everything you can put in your mouth - down to the croutons on their salad - are homemade and unsurpassed. If you miss eating at this gem, you will surely regret it. We found it well worth the 2+ hour trip from Aurora to Dorchester - 100%!
My wife and I were driving home from a day trip and happened to drive through Dorchester Ontario. We were looking for a place to grab a bite. We weren’t looking for fast food or Tim Hortons, but in our route my wife spotted the “Fat Olive” restaurant. She recalled it from the “Local Flavours” booklet she had gotten at the Elmhurst Inn. We decided to give it a try. Upon entering the restaurant we were welcomed, seated and told that we were the first patrons for 2024.
It was just 4 o’clock but we decided to have dinner early. The service was prompt and thorough. We ordered a Cesar Salad, Calamari, Margarita Flatbread and the Garlic Parmesan Loaf. Everything was great. Excellent flavour and presentation. Even though we had chosen mostly from the starters and salads section, there was more than enough food to satisfy us and we ended up taking some home. Even though we don’t get to Dorchester that often, if the opportunity arises again we would definitely visit this establishment again.

The food tasted alright. The chef was eating with his hands while he was preparing the food. Our waitress was snacking with her hands behind the counter and playing with her hair. One of the employees, who was 15 feet away, was on a loud speaker phone for 15 minutes, it was so loud I could hear what the person on the other end was saying.

I am terribly disappointed in the recent service of this restaurant. Their organization of how to order food is pathetic. They are unable to keep their word and understand the need of customer service!
