AWESOME FAMILY RESTAURANT AND VERY REASONABLE PRICE! We've been to quite a few restaurants along Danforth since it's more convenient, and we thought - why don't we go a bit farther from the major intersection and see how it goes? I'm glad we did and what a great experience at Pape Village! I'd admit we aren't too familiar with Greek cuisine so it took us a while to go over the menu and had to ask a bunch of questions. It was a busy night (even though it was early on a weeknight), but the staff was very patient in answering our questions and gave us some good ideas. Unlike some other places in the area, they didn't rush us in placing the order at all and we appreciated that very much! We started with two appetizers: taramosalata (a fish roe dip) and fried calamari. The dip was great - the typical good quality you'd expect from a decent restaurant. What really surprised us was the fried calamari - it was perfectly deep fried with thin batter, and the squid was so tender :) Then, we ran into a "challenge" - we were sort of half full by that time, and judging by the food portion from other guests, we decided to order just one main course to share. It turns out to be a great decision as the main course was HUGE!!! We wanted to order the Kontosouvli Pork, but it's only available during weekend thus we ordered Pork Souvlaki instead. The pork was nicely grilled - super tender and juicy. Given the high food quality and excellent services, the price was more than reasonable. We'll definitely visit again, probably during weekend in order to try the Kontosouvli Pork :)

Delicious appetizers and sandwiches. Love the village salad. Service was good and the patio had a nice atmosphere.

Great find by my son. Amazing food and what a great value. Food portions were large and tasty. Really authentic Greek cuisine. Loved it, and will go back.

Great authentic greek food!Small but worth the wait if there's a line up.One of the last true authentic places left at a reasonable price. Would eat here every week if I was close by.

What was meant to be an enjoyable patio dining experience turned into an unfortunate encounter with racism and utterly disappointing food and service. The waitstaff consistently overlooked our table, disregarding our attempts to catch their attention for a simple glass of water. To make matters worse, they forgot to bring us a gyro plate we ordered - our hunger grew while our patience dwindled. Their lack of attentiveness was not only unprofessional but also made us feel marginalized and invisible. As a customer, I believe it's our responsibility to hold businesses accountable for their actions. Racism, even when it's subtle like in this case has no place in society. I sincerely hope that this review brings attention to the unjust treatment we experienced and prompts the management rectify these issues immediately.

Our favorite Greek restaurant around is Pape Village.A family run operation with absolute pros at every post.Everything on the menu is out of this world. The moussaka is such a hit.We absolutely love 5he takeout as well as eating in at Pape Village, chances are every table will be full when you go a dinner time... it's worth the wait..Cheers.Kid-friendliness: They have tables and chairs children can sit it, but if you are looking for a jungle gym, then don't have one of those.Parking: There is paid parking of Pape Ave.

Hubby and I stopped in during our walk. The place was packed, but they were able to seat us within five minutes. I felt like I was in a little restaurant in Greece. Gina, our server was amazing, she was attentive, and she was sweet and she remembered our names. (Big + for me) We ordered pork, shish kebab, sticks, and Horiatiki salad. The salad was chilled to perfection fresh and tasty. The pork was a beautiful cut of meat and super tasty and moist. The whole ambience is friendly. The clientele are regulars, and everybody knows everybody!! such a great environment. Will definitely be back!

Neighborhood greek restaurant, highly recommended over the ones on Danforth. Visited for lunch and loved it so much, oredered take out for a family get together. With the exception of lamb chops (too dry), liked everything we ate. My favorites are the fried eggplant, which is simply perfection (creamy goodness without being too oily) and the 'no-name' sausage.
