Genuine French bakery. Vegan and vegetarian options. Really fresh, amazing breads. Gluten free options too. Also extremely kind owner who donated a huge bag of stale loaves to me to take to a farm sanctuary <3

So thankful we have this gem in Erin. The croissants, cakes, and home made breads are just absolutely incredible. This is not a bakery using premixed doughs. Reminds me of my visit to France. That good! If you are driving through Erin, take the time to stop in. You will not be disappointed!

Coffee: good, barristas make decent coffee, sometimes overheat the milk and coffee scalds you a bit, but let it sit a few minutes and it's fine.Croissants: ok, nothing really special, but not terrible eitherbread: awful - this is not french bread compared to any other french bakery in the GTA like say Jules Patisserie or Rahier for example. The bread literally gets hard within a couple of hours when you get it home and is more of a club the next day. Maybe they sell older stale bread first and i'm unlucky and always get the same?Service: good, team at the desk is fast and capable for surebest thing they sell: baguette sandwiches which is ironic cause the bread they sell by the load is rock hard to eat most times. But, the little baguettes like tuna salad or chicken salad or the classic ham/brie are delicious.Just wish they would really learn to make proper french style croissants and bread then this would be a killer place to get your french patisserie fix on. Can the bakers take a trip to Jules or Rahier please and see what you could be making?

Truly a gem in the town of Erin. Tried this place for the first time and was not disappointed. It was really hard to hold back and not order one of each pastry. Drip coffee was excellent and so were the croissants.

Beignets (chocolate, raspberry) were the best we've ever had.

Fond of French bakery delights? Save the air fare and go to Erin in Ontario, Canada. T Le Bistro Du Pain is the real thing. Many different kinds of Bread, Croissants, other pastries, Tortes etc , you name it, they are delicious. Of course, the baker himself is French and rightfully proud of his products. The coffee is as perfect as it can be made and while the public area is limited, the outdoors seating area is great. Inside you'll find the baking ovens right in the background and see the access to what is called "Backstube" in German speaking countries. Not only is the Bistro located next to a gas station with the cheapest gas within miles, the 2 restrooms, spotlessly clean, have a Wheelchair accessible part, equipped with grab bars and an emergency button.

This cafe and bakery is awesome! The coffee and desserts are delicious. The owners are warm, kind, and friendly. I’m definitely coming back for some cappuccino and cake. ☕️?
