What a delightful little place. The owner is really awesome (warm, friendly, welcoming) and it’s definitely the best battered fish we’ve had in Ontario. Not overly heavy on the batter so you can taste the fish. I’d also like to add that the oil was not off/rancid. The accompanying chips and coleslaw were good too. Good portions. Worth the stop and we look forward to going back there.
Those little hole-in-the-wall easily overlooked places always have the best food - and Uncle Harry's is no exception! There's a couple stools along a counter by the window, but really take out seems to be most of their business. The atmosphere may be very plain, but when you serve up amazing food like they do who cares about the decor?The staff are super friendly, food is served up hot, fresh, and quick, plenty of parking in the plaza so you can duck in to grab and go.
