We have been regularly going to this cafe for two years now. The interior design may need updating, but all its shortcomings are more than made up for by the good quality coffee. This is the main thing. I know a couple of other places in all of Toronto where the coffee is just as good. In the Mimico area, all the local foodies love this place. The room is not large but there is a cozy corner for everyone.To make your day shine with new colors, order a “small cappuccino” and they will give you a SMILE for free!!!Thanks for the service!

Needed somewhere to work, and I found my way to Birds & Beans after walking into (and immediately out of) a different cafe. Birds & Beans is phenomenal. I had a hot black tea and a chocolate cookie. Tea is great quality and the baked goods in general look great. The cookie was no let down. The staff, two younger ladies, were customer focused, fast, and professional. This place is an A+.

This is a really cute cafe with great coffee (loved the iced latte!). The reason for 4 stars is the seating situation. There is not much space to sit down and enjoy a quiet conversation. Tables and chairs were setup right in front of the washroom door and by the back entrance, so there was a constant shuffling of chairs to accommodate the traffic. I imagine the outdoor patio is a great seating option once it opens.

This cafe is cheaping out. 4 dollars for a bagel is fine considering the economy— but the bagel I received was thin and came with the smallest pat of cream cheese on the side. Which I was not asked or told it would be on the side— considering I was on the go and wanted a quick bite to eat, I would’ve asked for the bagel to be finished had I known. This pat of cheese was laughable in size. If I have to do the bagel myself I don’t see a point in buying or tipping. Sometimes going to Tim Hortons is a better option and cheaper. Support small businesses but not the ones that clearly overcharge for very little quality and product.

Great local coffee house beside a Park.Unfortunately it has just been announced that a MASSIVE CONDO PROJECT is going to be erected literally on top of this store. This massive complex will dwarf the store, the park and everything in this small community. This area does not support this huge condo project it should be moved to a more appropriate location.
