“I bought from their website for the first time after trying their English Toffee flavored coffee from Amazon (really great coffee flavor), as I saw they have 2 lb bulk bags of coffee, instead of just the small 12 oz bags. I ordered some bulk bags of coffee on a weekend (just recently got into making cold-brew coffee at home), so understandably my order was not "shipped" until Monday. What is surprising to me, is that some business days have already gone by and there is NO sign of my order being delivered (it should have already gotten here by now if it was shipped on Monday, not like Ontario is that far away from QC - most standard shipping takes 2-3 business days max from ON to QC). Reviews suggested that Java Works is speedy on both shipping and on delivering orders, often within a few business days - so of course I was hoping for the same speedy delivery for my order. However, I checked the tracking today (Friday now) and it is STILL stuck on "label created" - the carrier is keeping the package unscanned and it's being held hostage in their office, instead of delivering to me like they're supposed to.EDIT: I did hear back after emailing java works contact email that they will look into why the package is not moving/no updates on tracking, and if no luck working with the carrier, then they would reship my order.EDIT 2: The Java works customer support team did an excellent job in resolving the issue with me. They got the carrier to finally scan in the package and once it finally got moving, it was delivered in about 2 business days (though took around 7-8 business days total due to the carrier error). Java works also gave me a bonus for the trouble, which I really appreciated.“
“I love the urban, minimalist design of this coffee shop. The espresso is top-notch, and their pistachio croissants are the best in town. It's a great place to unwind or get some work done. They also serve a variety of bread and pastries, a must-try for pizza lovers like me!“
“Came here with my friend for lunch, and it was a lovely outing! I had their egg salad sandwich and iced mocha and both were really delicious! The mocha was less chocolatey than I had anticipated, but the quality of the espresso still more than made up for that, and the interior feels so classic and rustic. Definitely coming back again for future visits!“

The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is top tier for greb-and-go coffeeshop vibes, and I had the most flavorful flat white I (someone who grew up in the coffee industry, and who drinks one almost daily) has ever had! “Friendly staff, good focusing atmosphere, and the best vegan donuts. The only con is that you have to get here early to get a seat because the place is so small, but isn't that kind of a pro too? Plus they have good internet, nice little outside seating in good weather, and they put so much tea in their tea bags that they can actually be used twice and still taste good!2022 Update: they have limiting seating since COVID and don’t carry Bloomers donuts anymore, BUT their coffee is awesome and they still have several vegan baked goods including my new fave: pain au chocolat!2024 Update: Indoor seating is back and there is a nice backyard patio. I still love their coffee and their vegan treats. They could have more in the way of vegan savory options. I love their espresso roasts and their half-caf beans. This is my favourite local roaster.“

I would highly recommend this brand - very good customer service and a really nice selection of beans. I've tried multiple types of their coffee beans so far - Alto, Colombia, and Appian - and all have been great.“
