I ordered Large Maki and Sushi tray. Fish was very fresh and maki was garnished with crispy toppings and so delicious. The assortment of tray was well-balanced and portion was decently enough to serve five people. The staff was friendly and location was very convenient for parking.I am happy to have this restaurant in this town, and highly recommend.

Hoya Sushi used to be the best restaurant in Rexdale, but a few weeks ago it was sold and under new management. They went ahead and changed everything that made the restaurant great. First, the prices went up by an average of 10-15%, which is understandable because of our recent rampant inflation, that we can thank Mr. Putin for! Half the menu has been changed or deleted and the actual menu design on the website, belongs more at a funeral parlour. The quality of the food has also diminished, so has the quantity! They no longer offer free miso soup and salad with a lot of the entrées, and they increased the 10% cash discount ceiling from $20 to $30.All in all, I hope they go out of business soon so a better restaurant could take its place, because this area so badly needs better restaurants!

Ordered for the first time. The food tasted great and it was prepared and placed excellently in the take out containers.Only item with issue was the Miso Soup. It tasted too salty or the miso mix was to high. Also Miso Soup should have tofu cubes and sometimes diced green onion. Mine had none.

I have had sushi at many places in the city however, nothing else compares to this restaurant Hoya Sushi. The quality of this sushi is the highest quality I have ever tasted in my life. Every time I have ordered here, the customer service was fantastic, orders are always correct, fresh and delicious. Don’t think twice order now!!

This place is fantastic and so tasty I ate before I remembered to take pictures! I got the Humber roll, Salmon combo, Rock and Roll, and Hoya roll. Each roll is unique and has its own flavour but I loved the rock and roll and hoya roll the best. The quality of the fish here is excellent and so fresh. I've bought food from here before and there's always been a high quality and consistency to the food. In the salmon combo, I especially loved how thick the sashimi portions were. Definitely come out and eat here if you're looking for good sushi around Humber College North Campus.

Portion sizes are small but they match the prices. Flavor is good.The spring rolls didn't have enough veggies in the filling. It felt like I was just eating the fried crust.The guy preparing the sushi was wearing a clear plastic face mask that didn't even cover his nose. Might as well not be wearing one...

Hoya is my favourite and go to sushi place! I’m a longtime loyal customer! Eating from here for years! They are so good to their customers and are always so kind and accommodating. They give us extra tofu for being regulars and make my sushi low carb as possible! They're amazing! Never ever had a bad experience with them.They always even leave us some candy or treats! My sister and I are vegetarian/vegan and there is so much great sushi for us to choose from and we always get the tofu teriyaki and the crispy agedashi tofu plus yummy dumplings with out sushi. Dumpling soup and udon is great too! So if you are vegan/vegetarian especially good choice this place is and they are super careful and accommodating. Everything is so delicious and fresh! We’ve had almost all their veg food options and it’s a big menu! Just really miss their japchae! I highly recommend this place, they’re always busy from well deserved popularity! I’ll always be a customer here :)

Great sushi. Poor attitude from staff. Had no courtesy or manners. Almost felt like I was bothering them when I was ordering my food. Too bad the really nice server doesn't work there anymore.
Never fails. Is our go to sushi for good, local take out. Our orders are never taken incorrectly and the food is always delicious. The torched rolls are my recommendation

I should get a popcorn and read the reviews here haha If you are a regular customer you know how this place is awesome. Best sushi place in my neighbourhood. Never been dissatisfied with their food and service. My friends and coworkers also love this place. It’s so sad seeing people trying so hard to leave malicious reviews. Maybe they have so much leftover time to think how sarcastically they should sound. I wouldn't bother to even believe a one-star review is true for some. I’ve seen many people who were extremely sensitive to weird things and feel sorry for the people who work there. This is what I got last week and the taste ain't going anywhere!

This is the only place I get sushi no matter how far I am. Taste never changes and is always fresh. Great service and always supportive in choosing menus. It’s sad to see how people underrate this place and write what’s not true. Kudos to Hoya

After reading some reviews I was second guessing trying this place out. But it is the closest Sushi Restaurant to my workplace. I called and they ignored my call twice and messaged me back saying "call back later they are busy with customers". I called back and while placing my order the lady on the phone was rude and made it seem like it was a problem that I was placing an order (super confusing moment.. like...sorry for supporting your company lol) Anyways, I arrive to pick up my order and I've never felt so unwelcomed in a restaurant before. The place was not clean at all, and the lady at the counter was giving me so much attitude. I didn't end up buying my food I just left. Everything about this place turned me off. I wouldn't waste my time going here, ill drive the extra kms for some Kibo Sushi. :D
