Stopped in today for a cookie, muffin and hot chocolate for $11 and change. All were very tasty. They had a nice selection of bread, which I will be back for next time. Happy I stopped in, I should have made a point of it sooner.

A cozy bakery with a cheerful vibe! The staff are friendly and efficient. I enjoyed a delicious scone and tea listening to upbeat music and the happy hum of interactions between staff and customers. Lots of delicious food to purchase to take home. Highly recommend!

Who wouldn't with such a contemporary building design and great name!We were in heaven with the smells of an old style bakery and fresh coffee. We had a couple of cappuccinos and fresh baked scone & muffin.Sitting in the comfy armchairs and urban-meets-county interior design sipping our coffee and eating, this truly felt like an oasis – one we will return to often.We didn't leave empty-handed!

My husband and I stopped by for a quick treat, as it was our first time visiting the store since we moved.
The staff were very friendly and certainly helped with our choices.
The cookies were delicious and the store smelled like a Gingerbread house!

I was bicycle touring through southern Ontario in the summer of 2023 and I camped at the municipal campground. In the morning I like to have a hot cup of tea (preferably three of them).I had a cup in this bakery the evening before and it was very good. In the morning, I thought I would spread my money around and stopped in another cafe. Waste of time. The water was not hot enough and I ended up pouring it out and went back to the White Squirrel.Actually, the tea (an English Breakfast) was exceptional. Probably the best cups of tea I have had for years, if not decades.The staff were friendly and attentive enough. I don't do gluten so I did not sample their baked goods but they looked very good.They had limited seating inside the bakery.So if you are in Exeter and want to enjoy a great cup of tea then check out this bakery.

The most delicious sourdough bread and love the muffins and coffee! Wonderfully friendly staff and a great peaceful vibe to the seating area! Love everything they make and bake!!

It smelled amazing when we walked in soon after it opened. Nice selection of cookies, scones, and muffins. The focaccia is the real treat. The wild garlic and pesto (made fresh in-house) one was too good to bring home - we finished it all right there. Super friendly staff, and a cute place to enjoy a book. Definitely coming back if we’re in the area.
