First of all, the servers are friendly. The proposed starter was a slightly strange salad with lettuce, parmesan and bacon. This one was quite unusual. Then comes the tumble. The meal served was pork in its salt sauce with frozen vegetables and potatoes. The sauce saltier than the Dead Sea makes you want to drink the water which leaves an aftertaste of bleach. It reminded me of the taste of swimming pool footbaths. Finally, dessert was a pretty good little cake!In conclusion the food is difficult to eat but the staff are pleasant.

Stopped by Tuesday morning for breakfast and was a little confused. It looked like it was continental breakfast for the hotel? If that could be made more clear on the door/website that’d be great. Ended up having breakfast down the street but looking forward to coming back and giving this restaurant another go.

Appears to be closed , not sure why.Went there on May 30 , a Tuesday and it was deserted, even though the web site and Google maps stated hours of 4-8:30. For supper???

This was the best fish and chips that I have ever had. Better than any fish restaurant ever thought of. I ordered the Haddock fish, 2 pieces and I could only eat 1 piece...lolThe fish pieces are huge, fill of meat and not all batter either or full of hollow areas.Coleslaw was absolutely delicious.I will definitely drive out of my way to go to the Wheel and Anchor restaurant again.Great service and I met the cook and complimented him as.I live about 25 minutes away.Great job to ALL!Parking: Wheel and Anchor is connected with the Quality Inn so there's plenty of parking.

We ate here for breakfast and were very happy with our experience. The staff greeted us when we came in and were very attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. All of our meal was delicious and the homefries were fresh cubed potatoes and yum! Would definately reccomend?

My granddaugther & I went for dinner while on holidays in Gananoque. We were told that they expected a group of 30 and given a different room in the restaurant. We ordered fish and chips. Service was prompt and friendly and the fish delicious. One piece is a large portion. We finished eating before the large group arrived. Price was reasonable. We would return to this restaurant.
