“Took a journey back in time, where customer service was the goal of the entrepreneur.We were greated with big smiles from both owners. They both went behind counter and explained some different wrap options that were not conventional. They offered us a taste of the chicken in it's marinade on it's own which was awesome. I followed their suggestion for crunchy wrap and my son took the original. The gentleman kept refering to my son as champion with all his hockey swag. They trully made us feel like family.We ate and it was great. The recommendation of crunch in the shawarma was fun and new.All around, I will remember this place with how they made me and my champion feel. Trully, this is their calling as they have great food and great customer service.I could not recommend this place enough, salt of the earth people, and although a long way from home, cant wait to return.Thanks for showing us what true customer service is...Champion and his dad ❤️“

“The minute I walked in it was the smell of baked goods! I knew what I was in for. It brought me right back to my vacation in Lebanon years and years ago. The meat pie is perfectly made. The zatar was beyond fresh. I will be back many times. I noticed some people leaving their bussines cards behind. Perhaps on my next visit I can leave some of mine :)“

“This wasn’t our first choice to come have an early breakfast but I’m glad we ended up here, firstly from the outside it says sub town, however right next to it it does mention foul and hummus. We were there for their Lebanese cuisine.Inside, there is a fairly decent seating area with booths and tables. We placed our order at the front but I also did see them coming to take orders directly at the table. The menus is extensive, you have a variety of subs to choose from and plenty of Lebanese dishes as well like hummus, foul, fatteh, shakshuka etc.We tried a variety of dishes, the portions were appropriate and the flavours were packing! Hummus with meat was my favourite, even the sojourn eggs was flavourful. The meat maqla though wasn’t gamey and seasoned well, it was my least favourite of the bunch. All meals are served with pita bread.Service was great, he helped us choose items off the menus, the food arrived fresh in a timely manner.Will definitely be back for the breakfast!Wheelchair accessibility: No barriers in place“

“Amazing food, 10/10 experience. The guy working the shawarma station is very patient and explained everything to me in great detail when I wasn’t sure what to order. The beef shawarma is very tasty and flavorful. The garlic potatoes are cooked perfectly and were even better with paired with the garlic sauce. I would 1000% be coming back with family and friends knowing they would enjoy the food and the atmosphere like me.“

“I discovered this place a couple of months ago. The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food was flavorful, fresh and delicious. My son & I wandered in out of the cold just looking to warm up and get something to eat while we waited for a ride. We were genuinely touched by the hospitality here. “As usual, Hog's Back Restaurant, makes an excellent pizza! I tend to order the 6 ingredients on two pizzas special for takeout, which is what I did last visit. Yummy! Delicious mix of cheeses, sauce and all the other fresh ingredients. This family run business also has a great atmosphere if dining in. Thank you for the many years of service.“

“Ever since I moved to the Findlay Creek area, this has been the only shawarma place that I go to. And I work downtown where there are dozens of Shawarma places that I can go to after work.The food is incredibly tasty and the portions are generous.“

“Sometimes you forget to put up a review because you get very busy but I am aware that they do help small business so this is mine. We have lived on Arch st. since 2009 and are going to move in the spring this restaurant has been our go to as long as we've been here the food is always amazingly fresh the portions crazy big when ordering the family meals we always had enough left overs to enjoy the next day. I will very much miss being down the street. I'm sure even though I won't be as close I will sneak back from time to time. “This place has great beef shawarma, it is clear they work really hard. The online orders are a killer to guests walking in as you are next in line but 10 sandwiches get done ahead. It's the new reality, check these guys out, easier when expectations are tempered when you know it may take a bit of time. A 2nd serving station may be beneficial during peak hours but again, they are magicians at pumping out good tasting food.“

“The Fattoush is amazing but unfortunately since our return to work the portions for the fattoush salad are much smaller and for the price of almost $15 it’s difficult to justify. Prior to the pandemic the fattoush portion used to be worth while. I know prices are climbing in everything but dissapointed in the portion size.“

“Nice place! They make great poutine, especially when topped with their chicken! Plus the prep guy at the counter was very friendly and engaging! Only complaint was the dour, sour-faced older gentleman (owner?) constantly grumbling and barking in Arabic at him and the cashier. Plus the cashier, while nice and attentive, looked VERY young…like not a day over 12 young… Felt a bit like I was an accessory to a labour law violation… But a pleasant, delicious experience overall.“

“Been coming here for years. Started off in 2017 when I worked at Mr lube. The staff has always been friendly, the food is good and the portions are great. The restaurant is always clean and well maintained.Some of the negative comments on here are clearly false. From poor judgements on the food, customer service and atmosphere. “The owner is a really friendly, fun guy who was a big help in recommending what to order for my first visit.If you don't feel like a wrap or dinner he has lots of appies and other options as well as sweets and popsicles and pantry items. He has a great selection of canned drinks I haven't seen before. We also tried the poutine, it was really good. No matter what you pick they are generous with the portions and put in the effort to give you lots of delicious, flavourful food. Lastly you can buy the garlic sauce to go, yum.“
