Found a small curly hair on my salad plate. Lost my appetite after this, could not finish my meal Bathrooms are also old and outdated. Is this where the hair came from Disgusting! Place was packed ( with older folk )when we went (Friday 5pm) so perhaps food is good but I won't be backThey also close at 8pm. Probably about right with the location

My two star rating is mostly based on the plate portion and the main reason I would not return to this restaurant. I had a 3 combo plate with two enchiladas and a taco. I thought the taco would be something of a unique creation but it was no more special than a Taco Bell taco hard shell and small. The enchiladas were skinny and the beans and rice on the side were a couple spoonfuls each . Definitely NOT worth $17. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Our new favourite place in Grand Bend! The food is really tasty and perfect for a summer dinner. They have a few vegan and gluten free options which is amazing, and the servers are always helpful and knowledgeable about the options, which is appreciated! A special shout out to Laura, who is just the loveliest person and actually remembered our orders when we had her as a server a second time. The patio is a really nice vibe on a summer evening. They've created such a nice ambiance with the lights and decor, and it feels very cozy and relaxed. It's lighthearted and casual, but a nice alternative to some of the more boisterous places closer to the beach! Also, if you don't drink alcohol, they have the option to make most (all?) of their drinks mocktails, and they're delicious!Lastly, the owners are so sweet-- we've really enjoyed getting the chance to chat with them here and there when we stop in on a quieter night. We're so glad they decided to open this place, and we'll be frequent visitors every summer! See you next year :)Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options (tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas, salad, chips & dips)Dietary restrictions: A few vegan options and a few gluten free options

The service was fair. When it came to troubleshooting or problem solving for visitors staff was less than engaged and not interested in the least. The chimichanga was good but the beef nachos were old with stale or freezer burnt meat. Like it had been waiting all day assembled… until someone finally ordered it.

Our family favorite for decades. Rita and Juan are like family and they treat all of their guests like that.

Homemade Mexican food. Everything was fresh and everyone at my table of 7 enjoyed their meal and drinks. Only 4 stars because it was a bit hectic getting the food and drinks out to us. I believe they were short staffed as we visited on Labour Day. It was bustling. Laura H was our server and she did well to compensate for the slower service by communicating well and having a great attitude. She also had good knowledge of the menu and helped us with all the questions we had. Thanks Laura!! I would recommend La Playita if you want fresh and tasty Mexican food for a fair price in grand bend.Wheelchair accessibility: This place was easy to bring my large stroller into. I know a wheelchair would do fine.

Fantastic experience. Almost made me think I was down south in the islands. Top quality food and service and reasonable price. Coconut shrimp tacos were delicious.

I went with my 2 siblings and the food was so amazing we waited a bit for the food, but right as we were seated we were greeted with great service and such friendly staff. I really recommend it here with family and friends theservings were such a decent size especially the nachos, so good!!

The food is exactly the same as I remember as a kid. It is the Authentic and taste just like a homemade meal. From the salsa to start to the main dish, everything exceeds my expectation. The service is even better than the food because they treat you like family from the first welcome to the last good bye.

The atmosphere and place are good, the patio is nice, but food is terrible. It is American food with Mexican names, pico de gallo is tostitos salsa, tacos al pastor only taste like cumin, and the queso fundido is super watery. Our server was new, so I can understand the slow service.

It isn't authentic Mexican food.We ended up having dinner at this place and the food is very meh. I ordered the chicken tacos with corn tortillas and was given in white tortillas that you buy at your local grocery store. The pico de gallo is NOT pico! It is salsa. My friends, who are Mexican and we’re with us, said that nothing was actual Mexican food. But given the area, I can understand why it would attract lots of people. I don’t think I would eat here again.
