Waited 20 minutes and never once saw a server. Only one other table on the patio and they were complaining about the service as well. Eventually brought our order to the bar and offered to bring the drinks back to our table for them. 10 minutes later the bartender still hadn’t started making our drinks so we left. Will never go back. Perhaps it will continue to run itself into the ground and we will get a new chain restaurant there soon.Despite being busy, Beertown squeezed us onto the patio and we had drinks in 5 minutes.

The food was average pub food, and the condition of the restaurant itself is telling... Things are falling apart and it doesn't look like anyone cares. There are cracks in the vinyl seats, the back of the seat in the booth we were sitting in had been held up by duct tape and was hanging there after it fell off and was left unfixed, the landing at the top of the stairs where the bathrooms are was so poorly lit I felt like I was at nightclub, and the bathrooms...ewww. They smelled like backed up sewage, the music was really loud, and they were just dirty. The lighting in the restaurant is really low, too... Even in the middle of the day. Our server, Olivia, was incredibly annoying... She was inauthentic, she said, "Cheers!" after every single interaction, and she looked as though she would have been happy to be anywhere else. We were also told that our gift cards couldn't be used because Fionn's no longer had a relationship with Ultimate dining. She said it stopped in November and people had until March or April to use them... How would I know? Overall, we won't be back.

Picked up 2 orders of fish ? & ? chips was great? fish was good size portions, fries are homesite with skin on, gravy could be a bigger size for $3, and lemon ? bigger size as got a small sliver for 2 pieces of fish, cold slaw was very tiny and only shredded red cabbage no taste. All in all always enjoyed the fish. ????????

I made reservations for dinner with my family and we arrived five minutes early. It took a few minutes to be seated. Once seated it took 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. After 20 minutes we could see our drinks sitting at the bar. We waited another 15 minutes and still no drinks. People who had arrived after us received drinks and apps. We decided to leave. My husband decided to let the manager know of our disapproval and was left with a ‘sorry'. We won't we back.

An enjoyable evening with family. Hadn't been to a Fionn MacCool's for quite some time so chose to dine her for a change. Our Server was very attentive, friendly, chatty and professional. My one critique concerns the condition of the Menus when we received them; the internal pages had seemingly been wiped with a damp cloth but had not been dried. The pages stuck together and left something to be desired, visually & aesthetically. Definitely NOT a good luck for the Customer! The food quality was very good and portion sizes were generous. One element of the evening that stood out, for me at least, was how the Staff treated a young man who was sitting at the Bar watching the Blue Jays Baseball Game. It was obvious from his speech & demeanour that he was a mentally-challenged gentleman who required compassion and attentive care from the Staff. I was delighted to see that this is precisely what he received, in spades, from the Staff. Once the Game had ended and he made his way to leave, one of the Servers had his Take-out Meal ready for him, packaged in a carry-bag, and wished him a pleasant evening. Another Staff member engaged with this gentleman as he was watching the Game and commenting on the action on the field. Very patient, friendly, understanding & courteous Staff, which is one of the main reasons I will return to this location in future. Kudos to everyone at Fionn MacCool's Guelph for their display of humanity & compassion towards this Customer and for restoring faith in people once again. Well done indeed!

slow delivery of food after ordering, over 1 hour wait food was cold glasses for water and drinks tasted of soap downstairs washroom was filthy, we went across the street at Tim Hortons to use the facilities if it was not for the server< Ariel, we would have left the restaurant and rejected the food

Great food and great service. My wife and I went for dinner on Wednesday night and our server Olivia was wonderful. She was attentive and kind. My wife got the fish tacos, and I ordered the Shepard's pie, both delicious. We were too full for dessert but our server suggested the sticky toffee pudding and we were glad that she did. Will be back

Not impressed. We reserved for a team dinner in advance and sent in our preorders. We did not get our food until 2 hours after our reservation time. No complaints to the wait staff…..but do not agree to take a team if you do not have the ability to serve them in a timely manner. Paid full price for restaurant food just to eat it in the car…not to mention that kids were starving. Also, we did not get the side salad we ordered.

What an apsofuckinglutly horrible experience ! Place was almost empty still took em over 10 mins to take a drink order ! French onion soup had some weird spice in it .ribs were bland with hardly any sauce. Wife said the batter on her fish was old and lumpy . Menu says pub chips ..... picture of fresh cut seasoned fries ... they brought out dry bland shoestring fries ....everything was terrible from the moment we walked in ! No service food sucked ! I know I will never go back !

Have enjoyed Guelph Fionn's in the past but this time not so much. Guinness chicken bites appetizer dish was yummy. Fish tacos were good. Guinness beef was mostly gravy, sadly lacking in a actual beef. Caesar salad was bland. There were very few customers mid afternoon and the waitress told us she'd get back to us after she finished visiting with her friends which took five minutes. Her service throughout was poor but another employee, possibly the manager, stepped up and actually served our mains.
I would give 0 stars if I could! Worst dinning experience in a very long time. Service was horrible, waited for our drinks for about 30-40 min, it was dead. Our food was ok, nachos has hardly any toppings and no queso. Hubby only had chicken tenders so...I wasn't offered another drink after the first one was messed up. My daughter wasn't offered a kids option or a refill. She was done her first drink and coloured everything well before our order was taken. We were never asked how our meal was. Most of the tables were left dirty for the whole time we were there.

I haven't been to this restaurant in years and chose it as I had been gifted an ultimate dining card and this was listed as a participant (until March 31st). The food was as expected, the restaurant looked a bit run down but the main reason for the low rating was the gift cards didn't work and I was left no choice but to pay for the meal with my own credit card. We tried the cards/pins several times and I was just told 'oh well'. They should have taken the cards from me and worked with ultimate dining for the compensation. I won't be going back again, the food wasn't that good to get me back. When I pay my credit card bill in a few weeks it's just going to make me curse this place again...

The food was fantastic. Took some time because they were short staffed, but the staff were very pleasant despite this. Live music was great! Vibe of the restaurant was good too. Would definitely return.

Although our waitress tried to be helpful- they were unable to provide three of the beers we ordered from the menu. Coors Light for goodness sake! When the food arrived it was only just warm. We will not be returning.
