A friend and I were looking for a nice, nerdy way to pass the time when we stumbled upon this gem. It was an incredibly special occasion, and upon entering, Jordan was an absolutely amazing host for the night. She explained the rules, went along with our silly senses of humour, and was so, so sweet with some wicked humour to boot. The day was already magical as it was, but it was her presence and service that made it that much more special, and I will be eternally grateful for her contributions to the occasion. We will treasure the trinkets you gave us. Naturally, the selection of games was great, the food was awesome, and the drinks were loads of fun (still thinking about that habanero one) - genuinely the perfect end to our day, and we hope to be able to visit again someday in the future. Thank you! :)

everything’s fine, enjoyed my night there catching up with some friends EXCEPT the hot chocolate i ordered and the server’s attitudes everytime i come here.the hot chocolate, i suspected, was made out of power chocolate, like Milo or Ovaltine or cocoa power. it was tasteless, very diluted and it costs around $4.5 dollars. other drinks i’ve tried here were fine, the princess mocktail were my favorite. but the hot chocolate was a disappointment (for me).most server are nice, some are not. the first time i’ve ever come here the server threw the menus hard on the table at me and my friends, left us confused with what we could’ve done wrong. this time it was okay, nothing much happen but still felt the unfriendly vibe from the server.

Underwhelmed... My friends and I enjoyed our time together but we're not blown away by the food or service. I asked our waiter to take a quick photo of us while serving us at our table. He said he was too busy. He also never circled back to see if we needed refills. Saved us some tip $!I'd add a photo but don't have one ;)

Came here to play board games with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe has a large selection of board games and the interior decorations are really unique and cool looking. However, the food and drinks tasted only average and the service wasn't very good. My friends and I had to wait over an hour for a server to take our food/drink orders. Admission prices and the menu prices are much higher than other board game cafes I've been to. I probably won't come here again due to the mediocre service, average food and high prices.

Came here with a date, arrived early enough grabbed some food and played some games.the server Tall Red haired guy, awesome server! bro I don't give 25% tips often, you earned it! Solid dude! so friendly and often asked us if we were good, a smile on his face! She had the wings with fries, she very much enjoyed them, a bit spicy so she ended up getting a milkshake. She enjoyed hers. I had a order of the phoenix, or wrap with Buffalo chicken bacon lettuce not sure what else was in it, with fries on the side, sea salt and pepper, very good food, maybe a bit too much salt, but I don't normally have salt on stuff so might be me. milkshake I had was awesome, salted caramel and chocolate!I asked about what games we could play with two people, my friend the server " he always says this " helped a lot and picked out some popular choices that were easy to learn and play. we had a good time with one of the choices and spent the majority of our time playing one game. The place was a little empty at 1pm but this place should be packed! nice area, plenty of board games, 100% recommended. much love to this place and it's staff! thank you for making our visit a memorable one.wish I took pictures to post! next time, I will be back!Kid-friendliness: great place to bring kids perhaps a bit older like 7-8+ ones that will listen and play the board games and not damage them!Wheelchair accessibility: two big open doors for easy wheelchair access!

My fiancé and I used to frequent this place before Covid when we lived in Guelph. It was a great place where you could hang out with friends, play a few boardgames, and have a drink (it was actually where we had our first date). We decided to go back after a few years and I have to say I was disappointed. The game selection has been slashed into about a third of what it once was and the menu, once a massive list of fun nerd-themed food and drink, has been cut to about five or six items, weakly resembling pop culture.I can give you an example; years ago they had four pizzas, all named after one of the four TMNTs, with toppings to ‘suit their personalities’. Now, there is a single CHEESE PIZZA called ‘the Leonardo’.All the quirky, unique traits of this place have been lost to make it more like any other pub in any other city; mundane and lifeless.I can give credit where it’s due and say my fiancé has loved the potato leek soup from day one, and it remains just as good to this day, so kudos to that at the very least. In response to your comment: I’m thankful I have the memories of what your establishment used to be, because we had a wonderful time that night. Going back years later… I wish we had just kept it to the memories.Stick to boardgames at home, people, you probably have more interesting ones.

The Chocoberry milkshake and garlic bread are to DIE for. Went here for a first date and the vibe was just right to help me secure the second date!! Thanks guys for your hospitality :)

An excellent place for a fun day/night out. More games than you can imagine, loads of space with different table configurations, decent drink and food options. Staff are great.
