Kid friendly. They always welcome us warmly. The brunch food is fantastic! Bright and spacious yet still has a cozy feel. The avocado toast and the chicken & waffles (especially the waffles) are personal favourites. Though I have good things to say about the benny as well.

Enjoyed the breakfast pizza. And they permitted slight variations, so kudos for being amenable to dietary considerations. The pasta was excellent too. To quote the pasta eater “one of the best pastas I’ve ever had”. The description of truffle home fries was perhaps misleading, but tasty anyway.

We had the chicken parm and the truffle ricotta gnocchi with shrimp. The chicken parm could have fed 3 of us (it had 2 big pieces of chicken) and was as tasty as the gnocchi and shrimp!

Caro on Ottawa continues to be fantastic. I had an error with a pickup order and they corrected it with speed and grace. Great service and food.
I was very happy to discover this on a last minute trip. Despite there being only one server who was also acting as bartender, we had excellent service. I don't know how she did it!

We got the chicken parm sandwich, mushroom pizza, an old-fashioned drink along with a spritz, and Tiramisu.The chicken sandwich was dry and could have used a little more seasoning. The mushroom pizza was great, quite filling and flavourful.The drinks were pretty good, too, but the Tiramisu was the highlight. It was a bit sweeter than others I've had, but it's still a good shareable unless you have a sweet tooth.Parking is paid next door, you can also park on the street (paid).

Overall, the food tastes fresh and my first experience at Caro left me very satisfied. Caro serves decent staple Italian dishes, but also offers interesting food with a creative twist.I visited Caro for the first time on a Friday evening as a party of 4. The restaurant was at half capacity and had a lively warm vibe without being noisy. Service was quick and efficient, especially impressive considering there were only two wait staff.I had the 3 Little Pigs Pizza and my party shared a taste of their meals with me. My party had the Chicken Parm, Omar Pizza, Arugula Salad and we shared some Fried Calamari.The meats on the 3 Little Pigs were quality and I just loved the side of gorgonzola sauce added to the order. The Chicken Parm had 2 large pieces of chicken and a healthy serving of spaghetti. The sauce was on point and well balanced. The Omar Pizza was quite unique; the sauce was a corn purée and it had a nice touch of sweetness. The Arugula Salad with pear, toasted walnuts, and gorgonzola was also well received. The Fried Calamari was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth.
