Yesterday, my boyfriend and I dined at Claudio's, and the experience was outstanding. The food and drinks surpassed my expectations; the espresso martini creamy I ordered was absolutely amazing, a solid 10/10. We started with the fried calamari, which I would rate an 8/10, very crispy and loved the sauce it came with. Then, we ordered the four cheese gnocchi and the La Regina pizza, both earning a perfect score of 10/10. Dessert was tiramisu, also a delicious 10/10, accompanied by an espresso.The total bill for our three-course meal for two, including drinks, was $105. The price perfectly aligns with the quality of the food and drinks; it was truly some of the best I've ever had. I really really recommend the dishes we had too. Although the restaurant is on the smaller side and parking can be challenging due to its location in a busy area, the outstanding food and the friendly service from our waiter, Liz, made it an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Claudio's; you've definitely earned a spot as one of my new favorite spots for special outings.

UPDATE: The owner called me about 5 minutes after I posted my original review. She was extremely apologetic and mortified about my groups expierence and offered our group a birthday do over on her. I said okay so we went back last night for round 2. When we got there the owner greeted us at the front door and explained there was another large party in the front but she had a quiet table set up for the 4 of us in the back. Had I known there was seating in the back of the restaurant I would have asked the first time we were there to be moved to a quieter space. This experience was completely different. We could actually hear the music playing which was a nice ensemble of classic radio tracks at a perfect volume. We were able to have great conversations within our group and no issues with hearing each other. It was much more enjoyable! Our server was very polite and friendly and she made sure to check on us to see if we needed refills on our drinks. The food again was delicious. There was one minor issue the pasta was a little under cooked for one of my group members but she said it was still tasty. We didn't have to wait too long for our apps and I was also given some cake again since it was to be my birthday celebration. The owner went above and beyond to fix our original bad experience and I really appreciated that. Because this experience was great and the owner did the right thing I will definitely be back again to try some other dishes in the future!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I picked this place to celebrate my birthday and what a mistake.... We waited almost an hour for appetizers! I had to ask the waitress what was going on and she said we're sorry but we have a large group... excuse me? How are you going make another customer feel that less important and you bluntly just say we have a larger group so basically we didn't matter! I then sternly said to her I made a reservation weeks ago which I did so that's not my problem there's a larger group. She just rudely walked away and then our actual server who was very nice might I say came over and tried to apologize again explaining they were a little understaffed in the kitchen but again these are issues that aren't my problem. I'm not trying to be demanding but you are running a business if you end up getting a big group coming you have to adjust things accordingly. It just wasn't handled properly at all. So they had this large group right in the middle of the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other think let alone talk they were so loud it made it very uncomfortable for me and my guests. If it wasn't for the fact that it was my birthday I would have just got up and left. When the food finally did arrive it was really good but this place is pretty expensive and they automatically put on a 20% gratuity because I was supposed to have 6 people but it ended up only being 4. They should have adjusted the bill... I won't make a reservation here again. If someone else happens to want to eat at this place I would go but I personally will never reserve at this restaurant again after this experience. It's so unfortunate because I had high hopes and was let down. ** A message to the owner ** You need to learn how to manage a restaurant better your customer service with your staff isn't acceptable for the type of establishment you're trying to run!

The service was good and the portions were generous, but both pasta dishes we ordered lacked flavor and were overly watery. It didn't taste like they really cared about the food they served, to be honest. We did visit on Valentine's Day, so it could've been an off day, although the restaurant wasn't super crowded or anything. All in all, I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon.

We have been enjoying Claudio’s for about a year now and all I have to say is that everything is just as amazing as the first time we sat in. The food 10/10 because the chef and kitchen staff never fail to impress us. Service is also 10/10. Romano and Liz are the best and most efficient servers. And we hope you get to meet the owner as well because she is a ray of sunshine. We even moved out of Hamilton and still drive in for dinner just for this establishment.

We had a booking for 7:30 pm there on April 14,2024. We were there and no service for 20 mins. The server just came and served water but he didn’t come to check in next 20 mins for food or drink. Restaurant was closing in one hr. And it was almost 20 mins and we just left. I doubt that server would have even noticed that we left as he was busy talking. Extremely terrible customer service.

This was our first visit - our dining companions had highly recommended it and we were very impressed! Service was attentive with good pacing. The food was excellent - delicious and served piping hot. They had a very extensive wine list with reasonable selections by the glass. We will definitely be back!

We started with the mussels which were very salty. The entrees were not much better. Unfortunately the Veal Piccata special was very tough. The Arctic Char was served skin side down in sauce leaving the skin without that desired crispiness. The side veg was uncooked on my plate & unevenly cooked on my BFs plate. We used to dine here many years ago it's definitely changed.

The intended vibe is fancy/expensive Italian, but I don't think that the food or service really match that intention. The meal we had was just ok. Our waiter was nice but there was another manager interacting with us more than we would have wanted. So between the excessive social aspect, mediocre food, and high prices, I don't recommend this spot.
