This place is one of the cleanest restaurant I've gone to in Hamilton. The food I don't have to talk about because it speak for itself. The service was great ? they stand on maintaining the Jamaican culture by playing songs from the great Bob Marley. I love it and not to mention the space inside. I will be going back soon and more regular for the jamaican fruit cake (black cake). Come come come everybody line up we're going to Ellis Kitchen ? ? ?

They decided to tip themselves when I turned away from credit machine. I thought transaction was complete, I remembered the price it paid. Went home to cheque my online banking to see they tipped the most amount. Unbelievable and unacceptable, lost a multiple time

Tried this place today through Too Good To Go. My surprise bag had chicken and rice, some fried plantains and the hominy corn porridge. I also bought 3 different patties to try. I was never particularly a fan of Caribbean food, but this place is hard to reserve on TGTG so I had to try it. OH MY GODDDD!!!! Everything was soooo delicious! The patties were fantastic, even my extremely picky 2-year old liked them. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so very juicy. And I cannot say enough about the porridge. I’ve never had it before in my life and I think I just found one of my favourite foods. I will be going back to Ellis regularly from now on. Plus, the service was great, the ladies behind the counter were very friendly and pleasant.I definitely recommend trying this place out.

In the past I’ve frequented Ellis Kitchen at their previous location I was sad to see that they closed. I learned of their new location opened on Ottawa and I had to stop in. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and decided to get a small callalloo with boiled dumpling, yam, green banana and a slice of fried plantain. To drink I had a Milo. This meal did not disappoint, all the flavors of my childhood came right back. If you are looking for an authentic Jamaican breakfast in Hamilton this is the place to go. I feel that everything was reasonably priced as well. They had porridge but I didn’t get it this time next time! Get out there and show them love. ???Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian

We ordered chicken roti. First time we ordered from this restaurant. The taste was great. The 1 problem we had was we kept pulling out small bones. Didnt finish for fear of swallowing one. Really too bad. We would have eordered again because the taste was great.....
