We stopped in for a quick take out. I'm just sorry we couldn't stay longer. We ordered fries and gravy and they were outstanding! Perfect fries. Perfect. Delicious gravy. Extremely kind staff and lovely decor. We will return next time we are in Hamilton. Highly recommend.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I feel it is my duty to share so other travelers can avoid repeating our mistakes. We arrived late to the Visitors Inn tired and hungry, and decided the aptly named "Hungry Traveler" might be the best and easiest option. We saw only one review here - and it was several years old, so we hoped things had improved since then. We were so wrong. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. My husband ordered fish and chips, and it was adequate - although they brought white vinegar instead of malt vinegar. I ordered pad Thai. Big mistake. I am not a picky eater at all - but after one bite, I couldn't stomach the idea of eating more or even looking at the bowl. The noodles were thick (not typical style) and floating in an unknown dark brown sauce. The taste was terrible with a bad lingering aftertaste. Wish I had ordered something else - but definitely won't be back to try again!

This place is great for a casual, yet sophisticated experience. The food is top notch and made fresh and seasoned perfectly! The owner /chef came and chatted with us and obviously loves what she does . I would recommend this place even if you are at another hotel!

My family and I have been here 3 times now when we stay at the Visitors Inn. The restaurant is owned/operated by a mother and daughter. The menu includes many meals from around the globe. I was skeptical the first time we ate here because the menu is so extensive. I thought the food would be like many other hotels and microwaved, frozen dinners. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. It is fresh and delicious. My picky 4 year old ALWAYS eats her dinner here. Please support local and dine here. It is such a delightful time. They are open 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening so make sure you check their hours first.

Great location, easy off and in the highway. Comfy bed. Looks like a nice pool area for the kids. Too bad the restaurant was closed.
