Hit up Merk with my bestfriend yesterday as it is our favourite spot after a good day of thrifting. We were very excited for the highly anticipated new menu my friend has been telling me about. We were the first ones there and it felt extra special to be some of the first guests to try the new eats and drink menus. Chef killed it!!! We were so over the moon about the flavour combinations and our server/bartender had the best recommendations to navigate the new choices. The pork belly Boa Buns are at THE TOP of my favourites list!! We also got a couple of mocktails, which that specific server made signature and is on the menu, The Paperless Plane. Just, wow. ?All of this followed by a decadent devils food cake jar with score bits and light whipped cream kept a whole smile on my face the rest of the day. The vibes, the people and the food here are always above 5 star. We can’t wait to visit with more friends again. Go try the new menu immediately!!

Had our book club there, and it was great. Food was delish. We basically ordered 1 of everything off the menu. By far, the Brussel sprouts and broccoli as well as the sliders were my favorite.The girls were amazing about checking on us, and I only gave 4 stars because the lights kept flickering and occasionally was blinded by the green stop light. Otherwise great place to meet up

The atmosphere was so relaxed and calming. The drink menu is great and the snacks/appetizers were creative and delicious with a Caribbean twist. The drink were really good and it was just a genuinely nice time. The bartender/waiter was working alone and was able to serve drinks and serve the tables all by himself and did so very efficiently. Food apps are delicious except for the jerk chicken taquitos. Bland. Jerk chicken suppose to be a bit spicy but unfortunately this one isn't. Avoid ordering if possible. Minimal food portions which doesn't justify the pricing. Not likely to return.
