“I just adore this place.From the minute you walk in you feel so welcome with staff shouting it from behind the counter.The full menu is safe for me and as a vegan celiac, this is such a blessing. I don't have to ask a million questions because they know and tell you all of the allergens that are present.We shared a plate of nachos, which was delicious, and got an apple fritter and a piece of strawberry cake to go. “Super cute restaurant, very spacious and welcoming. I ordered take out and had a peppermint latte while I waited. The wait was not long. One of the items I ordered was the mindful mushrooms. I think I could live on these, cheesy, creamy, wonderful! We also had the pumpkin arancini, super caesar salad, apollo taco and for dessert the blix bars and peanut butter cups. “I'm from out of town and this was my first visit to Democracy, and I was really impressed. I had the Beyond Meat burger with a side of fries, and it was all very, very good. The service was excellent, and I thought the prices were perfectly reasonable. Locke Street is a great place to eat in Hamilton, with plenty of choice. It's not free parking, but on-street and plenty of it, all close by.I'm looking forward to my next visit, whenever that may be...“
“We discovered The Hearty Hooligan after our daughter was diagnosed with an dairy allergy. We now eat here once a week! The food is always consistent regardless of the day of the week or how busy they are. Our favourites are the pickle fries and pizza rolls, we’ve also enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Bake, Moe’s fries, Mac and Cheese burrito, Crunch wraps.. all delicious! We usually add on a dessert to our order which is almost always a punkaroo cookie! The cupcakes and cookies are always good too. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the staff is always friendly and welcomes you like they’ve known you for years.“
