Chocolates are high quality but the owner doesn’t treat her customers well if they are BIPOC. The distinct difference in treatment is glaring. When the owner only makes an effort for certain clients and views others as second class —— then I will not purchase anything from her shop again. Why would I pay a premium to be treated poorly? Reminds me of shopping in Vienna —- never again. Ugh.

We got a cake done for our grandson from Anna Stubbe. She made it special for us. All the snow flakes and teddy bear were custom done with the winter colors. Everyone gave complements. It was covered with white chocolate. No left overs for us. Thank you

Twice I received chocolates from there as a gift and twice it blew my mind! I really think we have a World class chocolatière in Kanata and It’s quite amazing when you think about it. You have to try the florentine it’s probably my favourite thing ever now !

I bought the chocolate florentine from Mint and Honey Tea and Gift Emporium in Kanata. It was $4.25 for a medium-sized, thin lace cookie. I've never had a florentine before and I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it really hit the spot for my sweet craving.According to the description, the florentine is made with the Stubbe family recipe of local honey, almonds, and orange peel, plus a thin layer of dark chocolate and plenty of sliced almonds on top with honey.It was delicious! Despite the honey, I didn't find it too sweet. I love nuts and dark chocolate, especially together. The cookie part was buttery and you could definitely taste the orange peel, but it wasn't overpowering. Nice crunch, but not crumbly. Would've been perfect with a hot cup of black tea. I wish I bought more.Would love to try other Anna Stubbe chocolates and treats. Their bonbons are beautiful!

We received a box of their chocolates as a gift and they were absolutely delicious. In the past, I've tried their pistachio cake/loaf and although it tasted okay, it was pretty dry. So I'd recommend their chocolates but not their baked goods.
