Live around the corner and have tried to call in a pick-up order on at least 4 different occasions. They don’t bother to answer the phone?! I’ve brought it up on several occasions when I would go in to order (20-45 minute wait) and the waitress’ would almost chatize me each time saying they were too busy (to take an order). Today I was told she was way too busy ( not politely) and to stop calling but could order online? I couldn’t find that option. The Manager gave me what I think is his cell number to text… nice gesture but too intrusive. Then tried to order the special and was told I can’t have it to go?!They are not interested in doing business selling me breakfast there are many other places that would be happy to help. The waitress’ are very rude and silly rules will stop me from going back.

Best breakfast place I’ve been to in Kingston! My eggs, bacon, pancakes and homefries were perfect.

Disrespectful guy who serves at the front end of a counter. A guy with white beard. Worst behaviour.

Food was good after an HOUR waiting for it, the Manager/ owner ?? Was more worried about getting food out for Skip the dishes, or whatever delivery company was steady coming in, instead of getting the food out for all of the patrons that were sitting and overly patient, some , by the way did get up and leave. Manager started cooking, and you guessed it , it all was for delivery. Absolutely ridiculous.

When we arrived around noon, we were greeted right away. Nice to be acknowledged. We were then seated relatively quickly and gave our drink orders to the host while we looked over the menu. A server (same lady who greeted us) took our order, and food was provided in a decent timeline. We ordered 3 eggs with toast & bacon and another plate with 3 eggs, pancakes, and peameal bacon. The food was good, and it was served warm. I asked for strawberry jam with my toast, for 2 slices of toast i was given 1 little packet of strawberry jam, not enough for all the toast. But it was almost too much food, we couldn't finish it.During our meal we weren't asked how the food was. Our waters were not topped off, and our dirty plates were not collected. After putting my jacket on to signal we were done, i waited patiently, and still not being served, we interrupted a server to ask for the bill.I feel one server and one host are not enough to service the patrons during lunch. Honestly, the girl was run off her feet. Our bill with 15% tip was $37.They have a breakfast special 7.99 for eggs, toast and bacon monday to friday from 7-9am. If you skip the meat, it's 4.99. So maybe next time we will try to earlier in the day.The parking lot was deceptively full, and the restaurant was not full.

My son and I went for breakfast. We were seated right away asked if we wanted something to drink and before we even looked at the menu was asked if we knew what we wanted to order. We said we haven’t even looked at the menu. Our server walked away and said she would be back in a few minutes. After her passing our table like 20 times I finally got to stop her and asked if we could order. She was like oh I forgot about you guys. We ordered our meals and waited another 30 minutes for our food. All I can say it was the worst meal I have had. Eggs were small and cold home fries hard as a rock and bacon was cold. My son ordered scrambled eggs with his meal. The menu said 3 eggs scrambled. When it came to the table it looked like 1 egg. Was not impressed by the food or the service. I worked in the food service industry for 18 years and never have had service or such poor quality food. Our server was too busy as she had a large table of hockey parents and kids in the corner. Will definitely not be going back.

Highly recommend! AWESOME food, very friendly staff, super clean! My daughter ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast and it came out like a work of art and she said it tasted like heaven…so good she didn’t want to share! Lol! We’ve been a number of times and have thoroughly enjoyed every choice! Put on your stretchy pants and head over to Sunset Grill!

Probably the best west end all day breakfast at this time. The food is fresh for each order, with great presentation, great portions, and tastes great. They have a lot of health conscious options for every kind of diet. The prices are stellar and fit every budget. The staff always have a smile, are easily accessible for questions, and prompt with refills. I have been here at all times of the day and they have always been amazing to everyone.Try this place you won't regret it!Parking: Plenty of close free parking

I was VERY disappointed in my recent visit to your restaurant.I did not order coffee. I had eggs, home fries & pancakes. The potatoes were undercooked and warm at best when served. After asking mentioning that to the waitress she brought me a different plate. They were still undercooked but at least they were hot.As for the pancake I could barely cut it with a knife it was so hard.To make things right the waitress offered me a complimentary coffee voucher and a free pancake next time I go there.I just don’t understand some management. There are too many other places in Kingston to have breakfast without thinking about going back there.

Well, my husband and I were very excited to check out this new sunset grill here in Kingston. We arrived this morning around 10:00 it was some what busy but roughly 4-5 tables left available out of the say 16 available tables in the entire building. When greeted at the doors the hostess/waitress was slightly unpleasant, coming off as though the two of us coming in was in some way a burden to this woman. We were sat down at a small table near the front doors, we sat and looked through the menu for a good 5-10 minutes before coffee was even offered to us, we had placed our orders shortly after our coffee finally arrived, meanwhile three other tables were seated and they got their coffee before my husband and I even got ours, easily a ten minute wait. The couple that was sat 5 minutes after my husband and I received their coffees before we did as well as their food! The "Sunset Super" was what my husband ordered, and much like the rest of these reviews, the food was bland, potatoes lacked flavour and tasted like the bottom of a deep freezer, the eggs were "ok" the pancakes were the biggest miss of all, flat, lifeless, flavourless discs on a plate. My husband is ALLERGIC to chocolate and low and behold there was chocolate reminiscences on his pancakes, so he couldn't even eat them.First visit of what my husband and I assumed to be a pleasurable experience, but again much like the rest of the people who've come and gone from this establishment, we will not be back. The kitchen needs training on flavouring foods and how to prepare meals without cross contamination ! As well the waiting staff could benefit from some additional training on how to properly greet and serve their customers, especially the dark haired woman with glasses and holes in her ears her attitude was the icing on top of the cake.2 stars, potentially 1 star however the atmosphere and the presentation of the restaurant itself was kind of nice.
