We've always been a fan of Aura-La for their baked goods (the chocolate babka is wonderful!) so we recently decided to use their catering service for a party. We ordered cookies, squares, and pizza. The food was top notch, and reasonably priced - great value. We got rave reviews at our party for all the food, but especially the chocolate chip cookies and the pizza (we had guests asking where we got the pizza from). I really appreciate the focaccia-style of the pizza, as that's hard to find. Also, the customer service when going through the ordering process was friendly and accommodating. When there was a small issue with the final invoice, they were quick to correct it. Would definitely order catering from them again. Best bakery in town, strongly recommend!

It was a warmer than normal, unseasonably nice day, so walked down to this neighbourhood store for a coffee. Honestly, the drip coffee was ok. It was close to closing time, so perhaps it had been sitting for awhile in the carafe. Seemed a bit weak for my tastes. That said, the staff - and clientele for that matter - were all very friendly. And it isn't just a coffee shop. Various pastries were for sale, as well as a bunch of unique food items, and other interesting things created by local craftspeople. There's a bit of parking right off Frederick, and a small outside spot for customers to sit and enjoy the offerings in nice weather. There's also a small seating area inside when it isn't so nice out.Parking: A couple of spots off Frederick, but ample free parking on side street if needed.

I just went in and got a herb and cheddar scone, a munchie bar, a caramel bar and sticky bun! Everything was sooooooo good!! I had to try everything once I got into the car and couldn’t stop eating everything!!! The staff there was super nice and very helpful with any questions I had!! Very affordable as well! I spent $18 for the 4 items which I didn’t think was a bad price AT ALL!! Considering ALL the pastries were pretty big in size!!! Will DEFINITELY coming back and telling my friends and family about it!!

Aura-la has the most incredible desserts/pastries, buttery flakey and delicous. Staff Is always so kind, provisions are always stacked and unique. There's no way you could reach this level of quality unless you spent countless hours wracking over reciepes and techniques. Someone pours thier full heart into this shop and it shows.

We've never had anything from here we didn't love. It is our go-to first stop on any road trip before visiting the inlaws (delicious pastries are a great ice breaker) So stoked to have such a hyper local purveyor of fine goods!Parking: Parking on the adjacent street is the easiest. Usually there are a few spots open close by.

Interesting flavored pastries, but underwhelming execution. Some of the pastries tasted a little stale.

Everything is pretty pricy and the two times I’ve gone I’ve felt unwell afterwards. One time I found some sort of stick like a baking brush or something in my baked goods. Sorry, but I won’t be returning.
