Visited this cafe on a Sunday morning and indulged in some iced coffee, peanut crunch, magic bar, and chai latte. Everything was delicious, but the sweets were a bit hard and tough, not exactly amazing, but good enough. The atmosphere was pleasant, perfect for simply sitting and chatting. Overall, I'd recommend it for the cozy environment and friendly conversations.

I have no idea what changed.I have had great experiences throughout my years working downtown, though about a year ago this had changed.Staff seem to have an issue with basic customer service ie (friendly service, welcoming, engaged etc).I won't be returning to Balzacs. I will drink insta-coffee with the pigeons instead.I really enjoyed my time as a Barista in downtown - - hope more coffee shops open up that welcome clientele rather than feel like their inconvenienced.

It's okay, not great. Coffee (Americano) was pretty good but was almost cool when served. The shop itself was cool, located in a repurposed industrial site. (it does look neat with very high ceiling and brick/wood walks). The staff were friendly and efficient.
