Used to love coming here a couple years ago, but there’s been a change in ownership now. I ordered lunch about a week ago and I’m still upset about the quality. The meat was boiled not grilled and the chicken tasted days old. I used all the sauce I could to make it edible but I was left disappointed.

I went in and ordered butter, chicken and the Eggplant. Drove home in a blizzard only to realize that my order was completely incorrect The eggplant dish had no sauce on top I asked for no salad, and I ended up getting a salad and the butter chicken was hard as a rock where you couldn’t bite through it. I called and I told Girl that I will come the next day And she told me that was fresh. It was cooked too maybe three days ago.???. Seriously, you consider 2-3 days ago fresh?? Chicken cooks so quickly it should be done daily!!! My kid Could not bite through the chicken I couldn’t rip it apart in my fingers. The place is supposed to be open on Saturday from 11 until 8 PM. I went at 3:45. Unfortunately the place was closed. The doors were closed. The lights were off, not impressed definitely will not be returning. I am not sure if the ownership of this place has changed because I used to go there often and it was delicious however I moved. So when I was in the area I was so happy to get the food. , used to be good food.I will never set my food there again. Food is NOT fresh, extremely small portions for prices, and place looks very dirty now

I ordered Chana masala meal, and the rice was cold. The portion of chana masala was not enough for the rice and the naan.My friend ordered biriyani, and it was terrible as well.We also ordered lassi as well, but that was so thick.And we called the lady to tell her that it was not good.So she told us."This recipe is from the owner, so we can not do anything about it."

I ordered a goat biriyani and let me tell you it was the worst tasting biriyani I've had in my life, it was dry without any real flavor that you would hope in a BIRIYANI. What a letdown. I think it would be better to call this dish just rice and meat.

Edit: I don't know what happened. We ordered bolani and pakoras for delivery and it was terrible. The bolani was completely different from what it used to be. It was dry, had larger chunks of potatoes and fell apart easily. It tasted more like an old samosa. It used to come with a delicious yogurt mint sauce, now it came with a disgusting ranch dressing dip that didn't go with the flavour of the bolani at all.The pakoras were very dry and almost burnt. They didn't taste great and had thin woody sticks in it, I assume thry were stems of some kind of herb. Very sharp and you had to be careful eating them.Really sad to see the quality go down. I can't recommend this place anymore.Previous review from 2021:Love this place. Great vegetarian options and friendly service. The bolani is absolutely delicious.

The service of the place is okish. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit choppan kabob. The chicken served was really hard and tight. It tasted weird . In the menu they depicted a large side of salad whereas it came with handful of salad (not even handful). We took tandoori chicken and chicken breast something but it wasn’t worth the price. Rice was cold and idk what should i say for chicken . It felt like a stale food but idk what the truth is. It wasn’t a good experience per say.Happy Eating ?

I think their real chef ran away. Food was prepared by someone who has no idea about Afghani cuisine. Almost inedible; chicken pieces dry and undercooked lamb chops.Will never eat here again.I want my money back!
The worst kebab restaurant I have ever walked into the Kabob looks old and not tasty at all. The rice is missing salt. I hate to mention it after a few bites I had to put it away.Sorry, but you guys need to hire a better chef, a better cooks

Ordered the Chopan Kebob, Kebob was so stale and hard that I could barely cut through it let alone chew it. It’s so disappointing to see these restaurants charge as if they’re selling best food in town yet the worst quality. Chutney isn’t even included in at-least one with order, have to pay extra for even watered down chutney, but yet again the quality is so downgraded. I don’t know how Canada Doenst have any food quality laws in place. No where else in the world will you be able to sell such low quality food with such high prices, people would never accept this quality anywhere BUT Canada. No one says anything and the quality just keeps getting worse and worse each year. Very disappointing to eat out now.

Pros : great kebabs plates , good kabuli rice , good price point .Cons : depressing salad - only lettuce and 1 small piece of tomato with no dressing and two pieces of cucumber. Dude ! Why?Red and white sauce: $0.99 -1.99 $ for a tiny container only filled half way . Ugh . Common man!Your food tastes great and just cutting corner like that really feels sad . So if you can look into that , I would love to order many more times .
