We have lived in KW for 35 hrs and thought it was special treat to go there for schnitzel. Bad service. Cold meal. They did not care. Not worth going back for this experience !

Drove 2 hours to eat here on my birthday with friends and family and it was SO worth it. The schnitzel was PERFECTION, we also tried spaetzel, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, perogies, their special ceaser salad and potato salad. Everything was super fresh and delicious. We can't wait to go back!!

Have not been there in a couple of years. Not quite the same as it once was. Smaller portions. Not bad but certainly not great as I remembered. Ordered home fries with my meal and they arrived BURNT Not just well done but honestly BURNT. Taste was awful. After waitress asked us how our meal was we commented about them being BURNT and she replied “ that’s how we have always cooke them”. Wrong.Anyway the rest of the food was ok.

Adam is a beast.Stopped in today for the first time for a late lunch with family. 6 adults 2 kids in all, we figured the restaurant would be empty given we went after the lunch rush.It was not empty, infact it was quite busy and they were short staffed, one person (Adam) handling the front of the house with one person in the kitchen.Whoever ran the kitchen today killed it, food was hot and the schnitzel crispy and delicious. The sides weren't bad, the salad crisp and tangy.Certainly worth another visit.Full party fed for $200

Nice old European atmosphere with nice attentive staff and really good food. I had the Cordon bleu schnitzel and my friend had the Vienna comb plates. Nice Czech beer. Will be back soon.

We have been going to the Metro since 1980 and have never been disappointed. The servers are always friendly and very accommodating. The best schnitzel ever. Food is always hot and delicious. Shout out to Brittany and Adam for the great service and wonderful meal last night.

Love this restaurant! EVERY single time the food is ah-mazing!!! If you like schnitzel, you’ve got to make a trip to the Metro. This was a last-minute decision to go out after a very difficult day and our server Adam was fabulous!! He was friendly, attentive, funny and really just made the visit perfect. Our only complaint was the delay in getting our meals, but it was worth the wait!

METRO RESTAURANTabsolutely disgusting service!!!!My sister and I and our two daughters went to Metro for my dad’s birthday tonight. Our bill came to $88. My sister gave me $100 and she had to leave in a hurry and left it up to me to pay. I gave $102 cash, he asked if we needed change I said nope that’s for you…My dad needed extra room to put his coat on so we got to the front door and I was helping him get his coat on… the male server that was working, took just the change and slammed it on the little table and screamed here’s your change… my daughter, and I both jumped… and me and my dad looked at each other puzzled… so I walked over and said excuse me, but I gave you $100 and he said no you gave me $90…We were so embarrassed at the way he was talking to us and screaming at us in front of the entire restaurant that my dad pulled a 10 out of his wallet and gave it to him and we apologized… we got into the parking lot and I said to my dad I gave him a 10, 2x 20s and a 50… so he just got a $24 tip after screaming at us and scaring my seven-year-old….I called Metro and the lady that answered, said she was going to investigate it when the situation calm down … not sure what that means or why he would be upset when he just hustled us for an extra $10I will never be back! There was no compensation offered. There was no remorse. The way we were treated over this gentleman not being able to count and realize the tip that we left is absolutely disgusting … to slam your hand down at women and a seven-year-old daughter is crazy…. I’m a domestic abuse survivor…. And the slamming of the hand was very triggering and very embarrassing…The whole situation is absolutely atrocious and uncalled forUPDATE……Not sure if this post made it to management of metro….But the restaurant has called me back… they apologized, and the server has been suspended without pay fir his behaviour. They did say they hope to see us again.

My husband and I ate at Metro for the first time last night. (Valentine's Day). We didn't know where to eat but wanted to try somewhere new. I remembered seeing them featured on KW Curated's TikTok. So we called to see if they had room for us (being its Valentine's Day and we did not have a reservation) They told us if we could get there in a few minutes they could take us because of reservations. Lucky for us we were 2 minutes away. We were seated after a brief wait. The hostess and our waitress were so polite and happy. They were understaffed and run off their feet but not once was there a complaint. Our waitress told us she had just been called in due to sick calls and apologized they were understaffed. The service was amazing. The food was very good. Drinks were interesting. We got a platter for 2. Caesar salad and garlic toast. Delicious and homemade dressing. Then we had schnitzel (to die for) applesauce (homemade) pierogies (so good)mashed potatoes cabbage rolls (this was the only negative, we asked for the mushroom sauce to be put on the side because I don't like mushrooms and it came with it in top so I didn't eat that but my husband enjoyed. He said the mushroom sauce threw him a bit but he still enjoyed it) We will absolutely return.Parking: Parking is in a lot beside the restaurant. NOT behind. If you leave after a train arrives expect traffic
