Homemade dim sum, which is very delicious ! The lady is very friendly and supportive. I came late but she allowed me to dine in. I would like to return next time ! Hope this place becomes more successful in the future.

I went here for lunch not knowing what to expect. But my rule of thumb with Chinese food is if they have big, healthy plants in the window then the food is going to be delicious. It was fairly busy, and there was only one woman working the front serving tables, manning the register and bringing food out from the kitchen. She worked tirelessly and kept apologizing for taking longer. I felt bad for her being run off her feet so badly. The food took a while to come out, but when it did oh man! Everything was super fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS! The portions were also huge and we ended up taking home so much food. I definitely would go back, the food is worth the wait. I don't mind waiting when the food comes out as fresh and flavourful as it did.

I was looking forward to eating here as my friend highly recommended it. It was not busy, a group of 8 and another group of 2 besides us. Service was neither friendly nor engaging. The food took a really long time even though we ordered 3 dishes. We were never asked if we needed anything, if the food was okay, and had to get the server's attention. I was disappointed as the food was lacking flavour and presentation. I am willing to try it again in the future in case this experience was a one-off.

Authentic Chinese food & Dim Sum. Everything was fresh, delicious and flavourful. Restaurant decor is modest, traditional and comfortable. Decent prices. One server working hard but doing a great job. Best Dim Sum in KW.

First time ordering from Sam's. Everything was delicious and the veggie dishes were very fresh. One of the few places around that have Ginger Beef (Calgary style) and it was very very good. Good service and friendly people. We'll be returning soon. Thank you, Sam's!

The food was amazing; tasty, big portions, and fairly inexpensive. Best dim sum I’ve had in Waterloo. I’m giving 4 stars only because the service was pretty bad. I wasn’t expecting much to begin with but the food took a long time to come even though the restaurant was fairly empty. Our server was impatient and even told us to stop ordering at the end for some reason. However I would come again for the food ??

Meat was grossly undercooked. Nasty and unsanitary. Does not even deserve one star. Dont waste your time or money.

Ordered a few dishes for takeout, specifically asked for beef with diced vegetables and almonds only to receive undercooked pink beef which is hard to Do when it’s typically sliced thin, and instead of almonds I found cashews. Second was beef lo mein, opened that up to find a piece of plastic from a broken bread tag in my noodles. Terrifying when I saw that and lucky before I put on my kids plate. Would highly not recommend this place.

Went with a group.A small corner of the restaurant is a play area for a small, quiet child (kindergarten age). Store is a little run down, in need of paint and some finishing touches to cover not-great carpentry. It looked clean enough.Only one person staffed the front, despite a reservation made days ahead for our group and regular traffic. She was clean, pretty, fast and nice, though language was sometimes a barrier. She often zipped into the kitchen to help there. It took a relatively long time to take orders and fill them. I'm sure they're all competent and working flat out, but they needed more staff to serve a large group.Prices were reasonable. Food was tasty. I'll be back, but only for two or four bodies.Parking: Parking was not a problem, thankfully.
