We ordered the two piece fish and chips, fried mushrooms and a lemonade. Happy with the food and great location to have lunch with a view of the water.

Super fresh with light and crispy batter and awesome chips. Spectacular lake view and Mark is one of the nicest and most accommodating people I’ve met. Worth the drive but please verify his hours as Google times may be off. A great selection at a reasonable price.

This morning I sold a gentleman bags of ice. (The fishermen always buy lots of ice) I asked are you a fisherman? He replied “yes, I’m a professional fisherman I own captain Mark’s fish and chip truck”, and invited me to check it out. So this morning I sold the fisherman his ice. And this evening I visited the fish and chip truck, he was at the food truck and made our fish and chips. Must be Captain Mark! I love it! Talk about supporting local, outstanding entrepreneurialship and eating off the land/water;) I ordered the fish and chips and it was the best/freshest I ever had!

We stopped here for a nice weekend dinner. The fish batter tasted great and the quality of fish was good. The lemonade was made fresh which is always a plus. The service was friendly and I really wish I could give it a higher review just based on that. The problem comes in with the fact that we were given no condiments (like lemon or tartar sauce). Along with this the poutine was small and lacking enough gravy or cheese. This is disappointing as others look to have had a better experience without facing these issues. It seems to me that Captain Marks has the potential to be an amazing hidden gem as all of the elements are there including a wonderful view, the experience just fell a little short for us on this occasion.

This is a little family run chip truck. They were all incredibly friendly. The woman who makes the lemonade was nice enough to let my 5 year old use her cottage to go to the bathroom. Talk about going over and above. There is a gorgeous view of the water and they have small tables with umbrellas set up.The lemonade is made on the spot and is fantastic. Make sure you mix it well or it can be a bit sweet. My partner got the captains fish and the batter looked crispy and golden brown, although it was a bit small.I ordered the poutine. It was a quite small for $10.00 and light on the cheese and gravy as per the picture I attached. Too bad, bc I really wanted it to be amazing given how nice the family seemed. The friendly service would probably bring me back again, but unfortunately the food was mediocre for me.

Very disappointed with Mark’s. We were real fans before covid. Ordered 3 fish and chips and 2 orders of poutine. Pickerel was about 6” long. Tiniest piece of fish we have ever had! We were going to order an extra piece of fish for $11.00! Sure glad we didn’t if only 6”. Back to Robs or Arbour Acres next time.Since I wrote this, both Mark and his wife Jackie have contacted me and apologized and have told us to come in and get another order of fish and chips on the house. That is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We did and our order was great. The best as we remembered it. Very tasty and a nice large piece of fish. Thanks Mark and Jackie! See you next summer!

Kinda randomly found this spot and was very pleasantly surprised. It's run by a family of firefighters so it's just something they do on the side Fri-Sun, but there is real skill and care here -- can tell that all the elements in each dish is thoughtfully and competently, from the excellent breaded pickerel (caught fresh nearby regularly) with homemade tartar sauce, a really nice burger with the charred bun, and one of the best poutines I've had in awhile. Also just a super nice family all around. It's a little out of the way, but make sure to swing by if you're in the area.

Simple but really delicious food, freshly made with a great care :) from other people's reviews I gathered that fish's gonna be really good (and we weren't disappointed :) ), but poutine and lemonade were fantastic as well, what a pleasant surprise. The place has a pleasant outdoor seating for about a dozen of people I guess, but no protection from the rain as of now.
