After a phenomenal dinner at The Ivy last week, we went back for lunch a few days later. A group of eight of us went to the Ivy for dinner.

Nice place. At the arrival we specified that we have only one hour for lunch, the young girl assured that it was certainly possible…and she disappeared for 10 minutes… than she came and took the orders… the other waiter with only 3 table occupied in the room was looking away and didn’t help us at all…after 45 minutes and the help of a nice Lady we obtained two hamburgers… we had to eat in less than 10 minutes with only one glass of water , indeed they brought away the bottle….consequently the food is good but service is really bad.

A few weeks ago I booked a reservation for 12:30 PM, on Sunday, for lunch. I received an email reminder the day before we arrived, so they knew that we were coming. When we arrived, exactly on time for our reservation, there was no one at the hostess desk and so after waiting for several minutes, we proceeded into the restaurant. We were met by a very busy waitress who proceeded to show us to our seats; it appeared that our arrival was a surprise to all concerned. When the waitress handed us our menus they were only for brunch. I explained that we were there for lunch, she told us that they were only doing brunch and that I was the second customer that day that had, had a similar issue. She had tried but was sorry but there was nothing she could do. I explained that there was no indication on their website that only brunch was to be served on Sundays. She suggested that I to speak to the manager, I agreed. The manger arrived about five minutes later and was a young lady with very, poor interpersonal skills. She told me that they had changed the policy in October and that there was nothing she could do about it and implied that it was my fault for misreading the website. I explained that there was nothing on their site that indicated that only brunch would be served on Sundays. We took our leave shortly thereafter. I have reviewed the site and have still have not found where they mention that they only serve brunch on Sundays. We will not be going back; the very poor response from the so called “manager” demonstrated a lack of training, attention to detail and generally giving a damn about her job. I see from other recent reviews that the standard has fallen considerably.

Great location. Most personal waitress ever. Enjoyed aperitifs but not offered wine with dinner. Menu selection and food well below our previous experiences. Left hungry.

Our second visit this season. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for the past 15 years through a couple of changes of management. Our first visit this year was rather underwhelming but it was early in the season so we wrote it off as “teething problems” as can happen at a seasonal restaurant. Last evening the service was much improved as was the quality of the meal. From my perspective I find the menu a bit lacking when it comes to main courses. I believe there are 6 entrees….2 steak, 2 seafood, chicken and a mushroom risotto. It might be nice to offer a pasta, an Asian inspired dish, pork or lamb for those of us not overly fond of seafood or trying to avoid beef. They did have a nightly special but it too was steak. Our server was delightful and it remains a stunning room. A lit candle or two might help with the ambiance. I hate to sound picky…but it just missed the mark.

Wanted to take my 89 year mother out for a nice lunch at a place we went to before covid. The Ivy is a spectacular location and the general ambiance is very nice. Our lunch experience was totally disappointing. Wanted to sit on upstairs patio but greeted with total confusion when we requested a table.Went downstairs wher the nice upscate patio and bar was replaced with a self service lunch counter.Such a beautiful view to be wasted by such a poor downgraded lunch service. To top it all off lunch was even more disappointing. I had a club and it was the smallest and worst I have ever had. Such a shame. Won't be back.

The nicest Marina in the 1000 islands. Great facilities, pool , weight room , restaurant, home made icecream, bathroom are first class and clean with steam showers. Stayed at this marina for a couple of years. When I get another boat I would not want to stay anywhere else. Special spot as we even got married at the Marina.
