Firehouse Subs is everything that Subway offers, but better. Subs here are healthier and tastier. And this food chain has an interesting story of being founded by actual firefighters. Two brothers, Chris and Robin Sorensen, opened up two small businesses but failed. They tried a third time with a restaurant in 1994. That became Firehouse Subs as we know it today.I ordered two subs. They were served to me at the same time, and both were on whole wheat bread. First, I ate the Engineer. This is a sandwich of smoked turkey breast, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard. With each sub, they offer you a free pickle. Second was the Italian sub. It had Genoa salami, pepperoni, honey ham, melted provolone, Italian dressing, and seasonings, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard. Every sub comes with a free dill pickle spear. My drink was a bottle of Barq’s root beer.In Ontario alone, there are 63 locations. Firehouse is the Subway killer.

We will not be returning to this location. We went in on March 29/24 around 1:45pm. No greeting or acknowledgement. We took about 2 min to decide what we would order. Both women where busy. No problem. We stepped to the counter to order. After a few minutes one said she would be with us in a few minutes with no smile or pleasantries. We were okay with the wait....but the attitude was cold, almost hostile. Both ladies looked like they would rather be any where else. We left.

I had a lovely time at firehouse subs yesterday. There were three people working who made my sub to perfection. I ordered the engineer and it was the best sub I had ever had. And despite the fact that the restaurant was super busy, my sub was ready in 3 minutes! The cashier, Emma, was very friendly and the man who called out my sub was too. I will definitely be back again soon

Firehouse Subs are the best Sub or Sandwich you get buy . Tried almost all of the subs and they are all delicious in their own way. The only thing is the service can be disorganized and the price has about doubled in a few short years. Prices make it not really worth it . We used to go frequently but now barley ever go cause of the cost.

Found a hair the full length of the Large sub… it was both on top and mixed into the middle of the sandwich. lost my appetite after that. No hairnets in use.

Food is always good. Every time I have a Firehouse Sub, I ask myself why I would have a Sub at any other major Sub shop. The store was super busy, With pickup orders, delivery orders, food apps etc, the store could have used an extra employee to wipe down tables for those of us wanting to eat in.I think the employee who took our order was new. She missed a few steps in the process of adding extras and creating a combo, we were not asked if it was for eat in or to go. But once I took the first bite I'd forgotten everything about that. They are more expensive than others but I would rather go out for Subs less often but then go to Firehouse Subs.Parking: Lots of free parking spots availableWheelchair accessibility: Multiple spots available right outside the front door to the restaurant
The attitude coming from one of the staff working behind the counter was unacceptable. It was busy and he was clearly unhappy about more customers coming in, shaking his head, and several heavy sighs. The other staff appeared quite uncomfortable with his attitude and was treated poorly when he asked this staff to help him. One sub received was a mess with meat half in the bun and half out. Realized after leaving that neither sub had any extra toppings on them. This was never offered by the staff. So essentially paid full price and didn’t receive all that we paid for. We have been to this location previously and have had great service and good food so in my mind important to point out an experience that is not considered typical of your establishment.

Ordered pickup online because I had a massive craving for something better than subway and Firehouse is always tasty. Order was not ready on time despite restaurant being empty and our subs were missing some requested toppings, but I still enjoyed my sandwich and will order again. The pickles here are THE
