Having a birthday feast at Mandarin for two times here in wellington is below my expectation or should I say the worst birthday experience ever!! Well, there is nothing wrong with the food they serve, it’s just the people and the advertisement/ promotion they promised to me in the email they sent. They didn’t even sing a birthday songs for two times she just gave me a piece of cup cake with a candle on it. And that’s it! Really, I said that’s it? AGAIN. So I promise to myself that never again I will celebrate my especial moment with them. Even my guest said “that’s it? And done?” … very bad experienced! ?

Expected a lot more from this longstanding location. Overall food quality was moderate at best, and bordered “lousy” on many instances (salad bar was messy and picked through, and many of the main hot dishes were dry and tasteless). Atmosphere .almost felt like the place was on its last legs, and we couldn’t wait to leave. I would not recommend. A real disappointment, and somewhat of a real unfortunate cookie!
