We are SO late with this review, but we had Steve and the truck cater our wedding in June 2023. We picked three main items, pulled pork sandwich, chicken sandwich and the famous smash burger, plus the awesome smash potatoes! Steve was great with all my questions, regarding vegetarian, a gluten free guest, how the fryers worked, etc. I was worried about having a line up but guests really enjoyed the moment to chat with Steve, his son, and each other. And the line wasn’t long at all! They were so quick.
The food was fantastic! We still have people talk about those smash fries! We also ordered a few platters to be left out before they left and the platters were eaten up crazy fast.
After 4 different wedding plans, Meat Kandy was the perfect fit for our day! Thanks Steve!

Last week we had Meet the teacher night at our kids' school. While my kids were busy waiting for some sweet treats, I noticed a truck with the ultimate adult treats; Meat Kandy. Their pulled pork sandwich and (what they call) fries were the best I have ever tried.

We had Meat Kandy cater our wedding last weekend and let me just stay by saying, we got told constantly we had the coolest wedding ever for many reasons but one that came up the most was the food truck! Farm wedding + food truck = happiness. From the second we chose Meat Kandy, to the days following the wedding, Steve and Lacy treated us like family. They ensured everyone was fed, satisfied and BEYOND full before they left. Their menu options were plentiful, the portions were HUGE, and the flavour was out of this world. I will be bragging about this food (and my husband) for the rest of my life. The guests came up and told us how good the food was constantly, and how personable Steve and Lacy were. They legit thought Steve and Lacy were our friends (which they now are) but that’s just how welcoming, friendly and amazing they were. Steve sent emails leading up to the wedding checking in with us, just as people planning a wedding and not as customers to him. He was very quick to call if I had questions and constantly eased our minds about any concerns we ever had. If you are thinking of having a food truck wedding, choose Meat Kandy and you will NEVER regret it. I promise. We had the smash burgers and the funnel cake fries at the London air show. The funnel cake fries were good and we were excited for the smash burger but it was really disappointing. It didn’t look like any of the photos in the reviews, and I was surprised to read such raving reviews here. The burger was luke warm and not a “smash burger”. It was about half the size of the bun and pretty thick. The cheese was cold and the burger wasn’t warm enough to melt it even a little bit. The bun was also cold and very thin. Overall we were really disappointed especially given the price.

Had their Smash Burger with garlic fries at the London air show. The fries were piping hot and absolutely delicious, definitely recommend—but I must’ve gotten the end of a batch of burgers, because the burger was genuinely cold and really mediocre. I even pressed my finger into the middle and not a drop of warmth; which was really disappointing. Meant the cheese didn’t warm up at all either.I’m willing to believe that it was a one off though, as my friend got some pork ends later that she said were nice and hot, and really really good.

Tried these guys at Heemans today ! We got the pulled pork and smash fries ! OMG ! Friggin Amazing!!!! Great service, great food ! I’ll be looking for this place again ! Best pulled pork ever ! I can’t say enough amazing things about Meat Kandy! We hired them for our wedding to get the whole food truck experience and boy, did they deliver!!The food was so good that people are still raving about it! Steve was outside grilling up one of our meal options and interacting with our guests which was such a great touch!Every little detail from the customer service, the experience of ordering at truck, working with us to have our food served on our vintage china, and even turning on the classic neon open sign for the late night snack was on point!!10/10, 5 Stars, would 100000% recommend, over and over!!Kid-friendliness: Meat Kandy is very family oriented and it is reflected in the care they have for their customers of all ages.

Previously reviewed but wanted to come back to say how much we enjoyed our lunch today at the Meat Kandy food truck. We usually get the “meat kandy” but since they were out it gave us the opportunity to try something different. We had the wonton nachos and a couple armadillo eggs. My fiancé and my 2 year old polished off the wonton nachos so fast. My daughter didn’t want a little piece that we were offering her, she wanted them to herself and took the container from us! The armadillo eggs were also fantastic, but I must say that my favourite part is that bbq sauce. It’s amazing! Looking forward to seeing you guys and the other trucks out this summer for more delicious food.
