Fantastic dinner experience at Shiki. The food was amazing, especially the squid. Staff was super friendly, attentive and did not rush us to leave even though we stayed a little past closing.

One of the best sushi restaurant in London with even greater service. Ordered a lot of sashimi and they were all really fresh and thick cut. The service by Joie is what really completes the meal!

we went (last night) for new years 2024 the place was insanely busy, every table was taken and it appeared most parties joining after us had reservations. luckily by chance we happened to get a seat without reservations after a short wait despite the fact the restaurant was at capacity. the menu was fantastic, the food was exceptional and service was still good even though they were at capacity. I was shocked after my years of eating sushi that i had not been here prior. fantastic, will be returning again.

We ate here 26th October 2023. It has wonderful decor, and background music. It was our first time to visit (will not be our last) and was graciously met with a very friendly and knowledgeable hostess and server. Our food from appetizers, main meals and dessert was superb. We had sushi, teriyaki beef and chicken, udon and the cheesecake. We look forward to going again.

I ordered fried noodles and Korean rice bowl. The yakisoba noodles were very dry and hard and didn't have a good taste so I left them. Unfortunately, the sashimi in the sashimi bowl was old and had a fishy smell. Apidizer may taste better when fried. The accompanying miso soup and Kirin beer were excellent. The server was relatively kind.I went around 5 o'clock, so the wait time was short.I won't be visiting again because I couldn't experience the taste of my home country of Japan.

Excellent food. The fish tasted extremely fresh and everything was very well prepared. Would highly recommend the party platter for a full range of delicious options. The mochi was delicious and a perfect way to round out a filling, fresh, and meticulously designed menu!

Tonight, I dined at Shiki Japanese Restaurant. It is located close to London Health Sciences Centre. As I flipped through their menu, I realized Shiki has much to choose from. They offer sushi, hot pots, noodle dishes, rice dishes, soups, and salads. Best of all, you can order Wagyu beef (in steak form or in a hot pot).I was in the mood for sushi, so I started with that. I ordered a spider roll (4 pieces) and a California roll (6 pieces). The spider roll had fried soft-shell crab, sesame, and lettuce; but the California roll had avocado, cucumber, crab sticks, masago (eggs of capelin fish), and sesame.I thought long and hard about the entree. But it was go big or go home! I ordered two portions of Wagyu beef hot pot. This hot pot was made in front of my eyes at my table. It came with two types of mushrooms, lettuce, green onions, regular onions, tofu, noodles— and of course the heavenly Wagyu. All the ingredients were fried in a sweet but salty sauce. To eat, you dip these ingredients into a whisked egg yolk. Not done yet, I still had to conquer dessert. I chose two slices of traditional Japanese cheesecake for this. It was light and fluffy like a soufflé.My bill came to $140.I was lucky to have Opry as my server. She is such a kind soul.Shiki Japanese Restaurant is more than impressive with its vast menu. Although pricey, their pricing is justified by their quality of food.

Wonderful and authentic Japanese food hidden away in a strip mall. My daughter suggested sushi and I looked for the closest and found Shiki. Glad we did. A smallish place that opens at 4:30 with all be it dated decor, but lovely staff who greeted with a smile. Get reservations! People were turned away at the door. Ordered our favorite's, spider roll, kamikaze salmon roll, green dragon, and California roll. Edamame, teriyaki beef, and tempura mix with beauty fresh shrimp, zucchini, beans, and sweet potato. Finished with a souffle and Moochie dessert. We were all very impressed with the freshness and quality of the food. We will be back because they have an extensive menu that includes a lot of items we don't normally see and are excited to try.
