I ordered the spicy salmon aburi on Uber and they sent me shrimp instead.

Ordered take out for mosaics platter for CNY. The rice were not even fully cooked!! Very bad experience, so disappointed, what a waste of 60$…this is my second time ordering from this time, first time was decent but I think they recently increased the price.. the quality of sushi is not consistent…will not come back…

Wife and I had kaarage chicken curry and two torched sushi rolls delivered. While the presentation is good, the rolls were lacking in flavour. Unfortunately we both experienced violent food poisoning about 5 hours after eating.

Good food and friendly service. The rice to fish ratio is on the higher side.

The kapayaki set had fresh fish and flavorful rice but the sauce was too sharp/vinegary that it overpowered the sweetness of the fish. Service was warm but it could take a bit of time to prepare. Best to phone and order ahead if you're in a rush.

Great food for great price at a very cute family run cafe. The service was very warm and friendly, and the theme and decor was very fun! The Shiganshina District Aburi platter was a standout favourite for my wife and I.Highly recommended! We will definitely be back again!

The torched sushi here is delicious. I got the aburi sushi platter and it was definitely enough to feed 2-3 people. All the rolls were delicious and unique. I'd come back here anytime I'm in the area.

I've waited... I've waited a long long time to review mozaiko. From its predecessor... I think it was an italian cafe... to when Mozaiko first opened where I bought an iced genmaicha from them to now Mozaiko having a separate location along highway 7.... I finally managed to muster up some energy to whip up a review on Mozaiko. As they say procrastination is an enemy of success... the success of writing a Yelp review, that is. Through the years it looks like they've kept the anime theme going. They were putting the Spy Family on promotion, so that it made our decision simple not that they have an extensive menu to begin with. The spy family comprise of pieces of three types of sushi: wasabi salmon, original salmon with black fish roe and peach shrimp. Flame gun oishizushi are not my usual thing to order, but I went in with an open mind. To this date, I still don't understand the hype. The food was decent, but nothing really special. My experience was that they really overdo it with the sauce. As a result, you can only taste the mayo based sauces and it makes the whole experience real heavy. I also find the other side toppings on the sushi not necessary providing any additional value to the palette. Case in point, one peach shrimp had a dash of peach jam on them. First off, there was barely any peach jam taste even if you tried the jam on its own, nor did it tone down the heaviness of the sauce. One of the pluses was they did not overdo it with the flame gun. Like I said, decent food, not 4.5-5 stars worthy. I may stick to the drinks if I happen to visit them in the future. Aside from the menu names, I don't really get the anime connection aside from the owner being a huge anime fan.

While I do enjoy the concept of their cafe, I unfortunately didn't feel it was anything special. Food was quite average and if I'm being honest felt like it was heavily sauced with kewpie mayo. The aburi aspect was quite weak and only slightly torched. The sushi rice was made well and seasoned ok.I also got the oyakodon which was ok, but nothing special. Price wise I would say is decent for the meals in general, however quality isn't the greatest. Not much customer service too so it was really a 'department store' feeling. May try again in the future but right now not my cup of tea

A hidden gem in the Cathedral town area. Food and drinks are quite good. Prices are decent for it's quality. Place is uniquely decorated with Anime characters and images. Will definitely be back again!

I ate in here with a few friends, ordering the aburi sushi platter wall rose, karaage, and a couple strawberry bubble teas. The sushi and karaage was very high quality and very filling (I particularly enjoyed the eel), though the bubble tea was found lacking (the strawberry flavour specifically was a bit chalky and we didn’t like the jelly used). The staff were friendly and quickly prepared our order, and the aesthetic was fun to hang out in. Overall a very good experience!

Pretty good Aburi experience at the Markham location, keeping in mind I was just here for the food (and didn't know enough to appreciate the anime references) note that I was told there's a cash discount but only on the 42piece platter which I didn't get so not sure how much the discount isMy favorite were the tofu pockets, definitely interested in trying the Wall Sina next time. Just a bit bummed that there are more choices at the Richmond Hill location, will have to check that out next time.
