I love sushi and I grew up eating it. I've experienced from a wide range of quality and I have to say, Chi SAN Sushi is up there. We chose 7 kinds of fishes and one sweet shrimp and requested they slice it for us. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Compared to the prices in Montreal, this is a great deal! We even got to taste some expensive fishes like Toro tuna and even fish liver. But my favorite has to be that beautiful and incredibly delicious bento box (105$). It has uni, mackerel, salmon roe, tuna and more along with well seasoned rice. Truly a box of jewel.I only have praise for this place and highly recommend it! Freshness and quality guaranteed.

Ordered the lunch set to go , not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Owner made it fresh. Have to admit that I was a bit nervous because it was lunch hour and there were no other patrons, but the food was delicious.

I ordered 2 lunch sets today and maki spicy tuna and hamachi. The quality of fish and seafood were so bad. The restaurant is nice and clean. Their products in the fridge look so fresh but they used left over fish and seafood to serve clients. Those fish and seafood which they put in my lunch sets should be in garbage. I hope the owner would stop doing this otherwise he will close his door.

This place has really good food quality! It has the best sushi I have ever tasted But the only problem was the washroom was at the back of the entire restaurant.

Ordered a takeout platter (71 pieces for $385). Tax was included. Food was great. Only issue was they put the sushi in a returnable sushi tray (i.e. made of hard plastic / something you would get at a sit-down restaurant) instead of a plastic tray. When I went to pick up they told me for the first time that I had to return the tray which threw me off a bit since that defeated the purpose of getting take out which I would imagine for most people is convenience. While I get they're trying to provide a "premium" experience with a better tray there is nothing premium or convenient about having to make a second trip back to their store. Would not be convenient for those that don't live near this place and I would've appreciated if they listed this on their website or told you ahead of time as this alone probably would've caused me not to order from them. While this was expensive sushi I'd actually have preferred if they just put the sushi in a plastic tray.

Fresh omakase set for takeout. Bought two boxes, pre-ordered for pick up on Instagram. The ginger reminded me of how good it was in Japan! Everything just melted in your mouth too. Will come back again! Just wasn’t sure if dine-in was an option.

Can't go wrong with ordering from Cho San! First got introduced to Cho San during the pandemic when they were only taking online orders of their omakase boxes. That's what got me hooked! It's premium quality sushi, fish and more and now that they have a storefront it's even better. You can go in person and pick out slabs of fish straight from their fridge. You're also able to order in advance and customize your order completely. That's what we did, ordered a platter enough for five people and was blown away by the platter itself. There was one piece of fish per person just like their omakase set. The presentation was beautiful! However, the only strange part of this experience was that they gave our order to us in a huge expensive platter and asked for it to be returned the following two days. This was not mentioned when ordering the platter, and only mentioned while being picked up. They also did not take any sort of deposit for the platter, so if someone did not return the platter they'd be working at a loss here. This is definitely a pricey meal but worth the money as the fish is so fresh and delicious. Great for sharing or having at a party.

A Very high standard sushi restaurant. The sashimi is very fresh with lot of choices. Set lunch is only $35. Chou San Sushi is one of my favourite restaurants in town. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

A clean and bright spacious place. Staff are friendly. We pre-ordered 2 omakase sets. Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, especially the uni. Would definitely return and recommend this place.
