We went there for dinner on a Saturday evening around 7:30pm. I am happy we were seated right away. As soon as we ordered, our dishes were brought to our table very quickly. The dishes are good but just average compared with the same restaurant in other location. The portion is very generous. The four of us ordered 5 dishes. We ended brought 3 leftovers back!The only negative review I have is this restaurant almost has no service, you have to wave your hands many times to get some ice water. The waiters are just running around to deliver the dishes. No one bother to check how you are doing once your dish is put on the table.

DISHONEST. My mom asked to pay a certain percentage of tips and the cashier added her own percentage and made a mistake and told a senior... almost the same. She added an extra 3 %. How awful!!! The food has over-inflared prices now and glory days are over and the staff is so rude. Oh my goodness they think they can just say anything to customers. Having been eating here for years, it will be our last time. We had a gift certificate and normally 10% off. The GC was a gift obviously but you cannot have 10% off if you have the GC. How is that logical. It's still money and not discounted deal??? When asked about it, the cashier's response was.." that's how it is, make sure you tell people not to give you gift cards from CQ?" Wholley cripes.. what type of answer is that from a cashier ? As for their food....Their fried fish dish is not fresh... wasn't fresh at the Christmas dinner and not fresh today either and for 25 bucks for vegtarian tofu dish, you can do finer dining that is better. Their big portions is what people go for but For the money there are so many options now. How sad to come to this conclusion after years of being their patron... even hosted big Christmas dinner here 2023 but that rude cashier should be fired. Go somewhere else

I’m not actually in the restaurant right now. The lady screamed at us because we asked for water for my son.The portion is also much smaller than the other congee queen as well.This is unacceptable.

first visit: march 23, 2024went with friends for dinner, we had reserved a table for 20 around 11am today. if you plan to go on a weekend, better reserve while early cause this place/branch is packed! we were seated within minutes of reservation time (630pm), and staff CHERRY was very accommodating. we were a group of 16 with some kids -apparently i over-ordered, but we had them to go anyway, so no food wasted.fast service considering how busy it was.. i can't stress enough how wonderful the staff are.. I'm calling out the owner: these people are very good! just saying! food is awesome! we had a good spot, and price is reasonable! parking a little difficult during dinner time, but lots of parking, so just be patient!they ran out of bbq pork, so our server recommended something and saved some for us by ordering it ahead. this place is highly recommended!

I've been a long time fan of the congee queen franchise across GTA for the past 15+ years. I couldn't help but notice the service and the food deteriorate over the years. The food is no longer the quality I've had over the years and the service is simply not there anymore. I'm hoping that the numerous competition in the area will make the franchise improve its quality to what it once was before.
