They only accept Canadian dollars or debit cards from Canadian banks. When paying in US dollars, they convert it at a 1:1 ratio, which is hard to accept. I asked them to adjust the bill because they offer a 5% discount for cash payments, but the owner's sigh and unpleasant expression were very discomforting. The food was delicious, but I don't want to visit such a place with such TERRIBLE service again.

This is the most authentic Korean restaurant you can find. The food was really good, without any fishy or odd smell from sundae, which is pretty common. The side dishes were also very tasty. 100 percent will come back!! However, the owner’s voice is rather loud and a little authoritative..? so i think some people may find that a little intimidating. Plus it would be better if the food came out faster. The food was so delicious that even I, who is sensitive to fishy smells, could barely sense it!! My dad really likes sundae soup, and seeing him enjoy it for the first time in a while, I think he'll come here often. However, the female owner's voice is a bit strong. the feeling isI think guests who are sensitive may find it a bit rude. The speed at which the food comes out seems a bit slow.

First time to try blood sausage soup, it is umami and delicate, barely having the intestinal smell. Ordered this with fried pork as a combo, honestly the flavour is good but unfortunately there is only a few pork slices.Seafood pancake probably the best we had in all Korean restaurants, deep-fried crispy outside, large portion, but you’d better eat with the dip sauce served specifically other wise would be too light in saltiness. Had squid and mussel and a lot green onions. Wish could have more portion of seafood.Fried chicken rice really amazed us with such big two chicken filets, way too much for one person.Dumpling and rice cake soup, not spicy, good option for people who can’t eat spicy. Bibimbap is good as well with crispy rice chards.Overall, definitely above average a family-kitchen style restaurant, could be perfect if improve a bit. By the way, the side dishes like potato salad and kelp are great too.

The Gamjatang is different from the traditional style, no red peper, has lot of yellow oil, taste wierd, the kimchi came with the soup already gone bad, taste awful. Other dishes like the small dried tofu, rice cake stick and the vegetables in the stone bowl all terribly sweet, worst Koren food ever had.

After hearing that Makchang Sundae was delicious, I rushed to get it from afar. While waiting for takeout, I ordered a spicy sundae soup and shared it with my husband. It was so delicious that we were so impressed that we immediately ordered some sundae soup to go as well. I've never had such delicious sundae soup even in Korea. The owner is also very kind.I heard they only serve assorted sundae on weekends. The dishes seemed to be prepared with fresh ingredients. This is a restaurant I want to go to often if I'm nearby.Next time, assorted sundae on the weekendI'm going to eat spicy stir-fried tripe.

Pretty good Korean restaurant with soondae based dishes which makes this restaurant a bit different from other Korean spots in the area. We tried the gamjatang and the makchang soondae bokkeum (pork intestine soondae with vegetables in spicy sauce). The gamjatang was a bit bland but the soondae dish was quite interesting and different for us. Service is efficient but quite cold.

We tried soondae soup and it was really good. Not so much smell for the kind of soups. Other foods we ordered as take-out after dinner was also all good with good portion and many side dishes. But there was only one server in that whole restaurant on Saturday night and I don’t think the service was decent. It is also cash/debit only, which is not usual, then the tip % selection starts from 15% with that service. Even though we understand the server was very busy but not sure why they don’t have another server for the better service.I think I will order take-out one day if I miss the food.

I think this is the best sundae soup in the GTA. Personally, I prefer Naejangtang, so I always order it. In Gamjatang, the meat separates well from the bones, and bean sprouts are added to all soups, making the soup spicy and refreshing. The side dishes go well with the main menu, and the radish radish kimchi is especially delicious. Homemade makchang sundae can sometimes be a bit smelly, but it is difficult to expect this level of handmade makchang sundae in Toronto. Even though it's far away, I still go there when I'm craving soup.

The taste is pretty good, but the price is a little expensive. The seafood pancake costs 26. It may be that it's almost time to get off work, but the service is so-so. The blood sausage was also a bit fishy.

This was my first visit at this restaurant. There was only one lady working and so things were a bit slow. It took a while for her to come take our order and then another long wait to get the food. Overall it was an average experience.

Amazing Korean food with authentic flavour and generous portion

Menu is on the smaller side but food is so good here. Service is also very quick (like how did that guy make food for 4 people in under 10 minutes???) and they don't bother you at all when you're eating. I had also ordered the spicy tteokbokki + katsu as take out a couple months ago or so, and I highly recommend it although it was so spicy I had to drink 2 cups of milk with it.I think they take cash or debit only
